Marly
I sighed and racked my brain, trying to think about things I knew about him, which honestly wasn't very much. He had a four-year-old sister. (Oh, so helpful, Marls. God, you're a dumbass.) He...wasn't he like, athletic or something? So...if he got mad, wouldn't he go out to like the gym or something? I had my purse over my arm in seconds, and I took off down the hall. Even I knew where the gym in this place was. It was like, the huge building away from the classes. Okay, when I get home I'm having a nice talk with myself about my excessive use of the word 'like' in stressful situations...It's annoying, I decided, although I also decided not to address the troubling issue of me talking to myself.

[lauren.]

Jordan;
I continued running, though harder now. I just wanted everything pushed out of my mind. I wonder what Marly thought of me. Cursing at a girl like that. Probably thought I was a jerk, especially since I haven't even acknowledged her at all this week. I'm a dumbass.

Marly
When I got in the gym, I didn't see or hear him. Frowning, I went outside again and looked around. The football field was behind the gym, the broken up track running around it. And then I saw him, running the last marked 400. "Jordan?" I called out, quickly moving to the edge of the track.

[lauren.]

Jordan;
I heard my name and looked over to see Marly. Before I had the chance to look back in front of me or even stop, I tripped and rolled a little. "Ah shit,'I cursed as I finally stopped rolling and stared up at the sky, not knowing my arm was bleeding.

Marly
"Jordan!" I yelped when he fell, scurrying onto the track and hurrying to his side. I knelt beside him, wincing when I saw the blood on his arm. "Are you alright?"

[lauren.]

Jordan;
"I'm fine,"I said with a groan as I sat up. I looked down at my arm,"Hmm,"I said then rubbed my face. I then looked at Marly,"What are you doing out here? I didn't know you were the athletic type,"I said with a tad bit of humor. It kind of went away this week, from no sleep.

Marly
I blushed a little bit, bending my head so my face was mostly hidden by hair. "Um...no, I came to see if you were alright," I muttered, scratching the back of my head awkwardly.

[lauren.]

Jordan;
As if my hand had a brain of it's own, it reached out and moved her hair away from her face. After I realized what happened I quickly removed my hand and stood up, slowly. I stretched my legs, groaning. "I'm...fine,"I lied as I looked down at my arm bleeding.

Marly
I looked up when he moved my hair, blushing all the more furiously, and looked up at him when he stood. Standing myself, I frowned at him. "You don't look fine," I said matter-of-factly.

[lauren.]

Jordan;
I smirked a little,"I just pretty much face planted. How am I supposed to look after that?"I asked shaking my head.

Marly
"Not fine," I said bluntly, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

[lauren.]

Jordan;
I looked at her for a moment then chuckled quietly. That hasn't happened in awhile. I sighed,"I've just been stressed and tired lately,"I said with a shrug. I didn't know if I should trust her, I pretty much don't trust anyone with what's going on in my family because if it gets reported... I'm sure Delilah would be taken from me.

I looked at him for a second, frowning. Something seemed...wrong. "You sure?" I asked tentatively.

[lauren.]

Jordan;
"Yeah,"I nodded. I mean it wasn't lie... it was only partly true. I gave her a small smile then looked back down at my arm,"I think I should go get this cleaned up,"I mumbled quietly.

Marly
I nodded uncertainly, trying to overcome the awkwardness that was coming between us now. "Um, yeah. This...ridiculous school must have a school nurse?"
