You are Confined Only by the Walls you Build

[lauren.]

Kolton,
I felt the anger radiate through my body but the sadness also. I want to help her. I want to take her away and keep her safe. "Can I hold you?"I asked, my voice slightly gruff from emotion.

[haileyjordan]

Alaska,
I glanced up at him, nodding slightly. "Please be gentle," I whispered as I moved closer to him. This was a huge deal for me. I hadn't let anyone touch me in a long time. But I knew that Kolton made me feel safe. I knew that he loved me.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
"Of course,"I said softly as I moved to her side and gently maneuvered her into my lap, and my arms around her. I breathed in her scent, missing her so bad. "What can I do?"I asked swallowing hard.

[haileyjordan]

Alaska,
I leaned my head on the shoulder, tears slipping off my cheeks and onto his shirt. "Don't leave me." I murmured. "I just want you to hold me." My body was racing with emotions as I felt his hands around me. My back hurt, but I ignored it. His touch was more important than my pain.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
"I've always been here for you, Alaska,"I said as I kissed her head gently. I pretty much had to caress her body, not really hold her, afraid that I would hurt her and I never want to do that. I whispered comforting words to her as she cried into my shirt.

[haileyjordan]

Alaska,
"I feel so helpless. I can't do anything. I'm so afraid. I'm afraid of doing something wrong." I whispered. "I haven't slept through the night for weeks." I wiped my eyes, trying to quiet my cry.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
"Come back with me, stay at my place. I want you safe. I can call the cops for you, get your father arrested. Please, anything,"I begged as I closed my eyes wanting this nightmare to end for her.

[haileyjordan]

Alaska,
I remained quite as I pondered it in my head. I didn't understand. I knew my dad didn't necessarily agree with everything I did, but he always loved me. And then he turned into a sadistic monster. And I missed being with Kolton. I missed laying with him, and playing with Tessa. "I want to live with you. I never want to see my father again." I said.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
"Then move back in with me. I'll protect you Alaska. I promise,"I said as I gently lifted her face to mine. I ran my fingertips against her bruises on her face, my heart breaking. "I want to heal you,"I whispered.

Alaska,
Those last words made my heart swell. In that very moment I forgot all the pain I had suffered and was currently in. I looked into his eyes, then gently pressed my lips to his.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
I was shocked but relieved. I kissed her back, pouring my ever ounce of love for her that I had into that kiss. In this very moment, I knew she was mine. Always has been and I need to do everything I can to protect her and keep her safe.

[haileyjordan]

Alaska,
After a long, and much needed kiss, I pulled away, but not very far. I shut my eyes, biting my lip. "Can I show you why I hurt so much?" I asked softly.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
I stopped breathing for a moment. Did I want to see what this monster did to her? Could I even handle it? "Yes,"I breathed out as I dropped my hands from her body.

Alaska,
I got off of him and slowly unzipped my jacket. I flinched just trying to take it off. I carefully slid my shirt off as well, revealing many, many large bruises and freshly opened wounds. It was as if I had a fight with a tiger, but I would rather do that any day.

[lauren.]

Kolton,
It was as if my breathe had been kicked out of me as she revealed her marks. I reached to touch them to see if they were real but I stopped myself, knowing it would hurt. "Alaska,"I whimpered as I felt tears flood my eyes, my jaw clenched tightly.
