Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop

I smiled and leaned against the wall of my closet, holding a pair of navy blue shorts and a plain white tshirt. I bit my lip and ran a hand through my hair. "Is that an invitation?" I asked, laughing quietly, and then I remembered I'd said that exact same thing in the coffee shop when he asked me to sit with him. I completely blushed, but I soldiered through it. Nicki and our chick flicks and bowls of chocolate ice cream could wait. She'd understand. I slipped on the shirts and the tshirt, looking for my white sandals as we talked.

[lauren.]

Travis;
A goofy grin appeared on my face as she said this. I couldn't help but laugh,"Well I guess so since I asked,"I said smirking. I stood up and went to my room to sort through my clothes on what to wear. It was just a get together...or is it? Damn, I want it to be more than a get together.

Serenity
"Then I guess you can meet me at Harrison Green," I said, smiling, finding my sandals and putting them on. I straightened up and ran a hand through my hair, going through my makeup quietly so I could refresh my eyeliner and eyeshadow. "Does that sound good to you?"

[lauren.]

Travis;
I grinned and nodded, but then remembered she couldn't see me,"Yes, it sounds perfect. I'll see you there in about fifteen minutes,"I said as I pulled out a light green v-neck t-shirt.

Serenity
"See you there," I said, hanging up. I put my phone in my pocket, let out a short squeal, bit back any more excessive emotion, and went out to the living room. Nicks looked up and raised an eyebrow at the fact that I was fully clothed again. "Going somewhere?" she asked, grinning sweetly at me. I stuck my tongue out at her and sighed, picking up my house keys. I'd just ride my bike there. "Travis called me and we're just going to hang out," I said defensively, but she laughed and rolled her eyes. "Is that what they call it these days?" I groaned and slapped her upright ponytail on my way out. "Hush, you." outside, the sun was starting to go down and the air was getting cooler. I hopped on my bike and headed toward Harrison. The park was only five blocks away, and all the streets were residential here, so I sped up and coasted almost the whole way. I loved nights like this. I could just feel autumn coming.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I laughed to myself as I pulled on some brown kackie shorts, slipping on my Sperry's. I grabbed my keys, making sure I had my wallet with me. I climbed onto my motorcycle/crotch rocket and sped off to where I was supposed to meet Serenity.

Serenity
I left my bike leaning on a swing post and went to the jungle gym, climbing up and balancing myself on the rocket-shaped roof. The sun was quickly setting now, and I checked the time on my phone. He wasn't late. Yet, anyway. He still had like...three minutes. Not that I was counting.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I pulled into the parking lot, revving the engine before turning it off. I glanced around as I climbed off and saw Serenity. I walked over to her my hands in my pocket. "Hey Serenity,"I called out.

Serenity
I looked at him and smiled, waving a little bit. "Hey, so y'know you can just call me Serie. Serenity can be a bit of an obnoxious name to use all the time," I said, my legs swinging slightly in the breeze.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I shrugged as I smiled at her,"I like your name but it's whatever floats your boat,"I said chuckling. "What would you like to do?"I asked putting my keys in my back pocket.

Serenity
I shrugged and crossed my legs. "Whatever you want to do. I'm really up for anything." I wanted our first time hanging out outside of the shop to be on his terms. He seemed like a really sweet guy, and I mean I know I'm not like horrible or ugly or anything, but part of me still couldn't even comprehend the concept of him being interested in me. But maybe he could be. I slid off the roof, landing on my feet then straightening out my clothes as I walked over to him.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I smiled as she walked over to me,"Well,"I said shrugging,"We can go see a movie, git a bar, hang out here. I'm up for anything,"I said looking her up and down. She looked really nice. I haven't seen her in anything other than her work clothes.

Serenity
I smiled and shrugged, running a hand through my hair. "How about we go get some dinner, then go out for a drink, and after that we'll see," I said brightly, grinning at him.

[lauren.]

Travis;
"Sounds great to me. Want to walk or wanna ride with me?"I asked smirking. I didn't look like a type of guy with a motorcycle, I don't think. Whatever,but it's my pride & joy at the moment.

I laughed and nudged him as I passed. "Oh, I suppose I could ride with you."
