Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop

I licked my lips as we entered the diner, looking around, but my eyes landed on Travis. He really did look very good. I literally didn't understand how somebody so hot could be so nice. I mean hot people usually aren't nice. Or interested in me.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I led her to a booth, sliding into one side. "This is a good place,"I said not even bothering to look at a menu that was already on the table. I was pretty much a regular so they knew what I wanted. I sat back and watched her though, wondering why I hadn't met her before since we've been going to the same college this whole time.

Serenity
I slid into the booth, picking up one of the menus and looking it over. Mmmmm bacon hamburgers. I glanced up at him and laughed, shaking my head. "You don't need a menu?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I smiled and shook my head,"Nah, I come here regularly so the pretty much know what I always want,"I said leaning my elbows against the table.

Serenity
I smiled and leaned forward on the table, crossing my legs under the table. "And what is it you get?" I asked curiously.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I shrugged,"Well usually get just a cheese Burger & cheese fries with a sweet tea,"I said grinning at her.

Serenity
"So much cheese," I teased, grinning as a waitress came up with an order pad. I could totally sympathize, obviously, so I always tried being as nice as I could to them. She looked expectantly at us and I shifted before saying, "I'll have a bacon cheeseburger and a Sprite."

[lauren.]

Travis;
I grinned as I looked up at the waitress. "The usual Trav?"she asked smirking at me. "As always,"I said as she wrote it down and walked away. I looked at Serenity,"A Bacon girl?"I asked.

Serenity
I laughed and shrugged, looking after the waitress. She'd kind of been a little flirty, but I mean, he's not exactly a bad looking guy. But still. I was sitting right here. I could be his girlfriend for all she knew. I quickly looked back at Travis though, shifting my hair onto my shoulder and smiling at him. "I like bacon! It's not a crime or anything, is it?"

[lauren.]

Travis;
I grinned and shook my head,"No, it's not a crime at all,"I said leaning more towards her. I couldn't help but want to be close to her. I stretched my legs out, slightly touching hers.

Serenity
I smiled when our legs touched, not moving mine an inch as the waitress brought our drinks. She eyed me annoyedly, but I ignored her and took a sip of my drink, trying to hide my blush. God, I felt like a horrible person right now. He was such a great guy and I was sitting here being stupidly jealous of some strange waitress and having inappropriate thoughts. But I honestly couldn't help it! I mean he was just, I dunno...way too good to be true.

[lauren.]

Travis;
I grinned and took a drink of my tea,"Well dig in, this place is great,"I said keeping our legs touching as we ate. I really didn't want to pull away. Obviously she didn't think I was a creep.

Serenity
I I took a bite out of my burger, trying to look a bit less like a starving pitbull than I usually do when I eat burgers, and I think I mostly succeeded. Our legs stayed connected, and I might be crazy but it was driving me insane. I found myself wishing I'd sat beside him on the other side of the booth. "This place is great," I told him, smiling after I'd secretly made sure my teeth were clean.

Travis;
I grinned and giggled my eyebrows,"Told you,"I said chuckling as I actually locked our legs together now. She seemed to not mind so why not go ahead. "I'm glad you came out with me tonight,"I said smiling at her.

Serenity
I grinned and felt my face heat up again, and some of my hair shifted forward as I replied. "I'm glad you invited me," I said, still snubg widely. I was having a ridiculously good time with him tonight. "So, where do you suggest we go have our drink later?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows jokingly and laughing.
