Landon,
I sighed, looking at her. "Just don't worry about it. Please." I said softly, gently applying the medicine to her wound. "It may sting a little." I said, looking back down at her leg.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
He was correct. It stung like hell but I didn't make a sound, maybe tensed up pretty good but that was about it. I couldn't help but watch him this whole time. For one, we were close together and two, the way he asked me pretty much begged me to stop asking intrigued me.

Landon,
I finished cleaning it and then wrapped some gauze around it. "Just try not to mess it up while it's healing, alright?" I said, looking over at her. I noticed she was looking at me already, but I tried to think nothing of it.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
"My life is to mess things up,"I said staying seated. I wanted to make sure the medicine would settle good before I moved around. Though I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to walk home considering my leg was slightly numb."Thank you,"I said quietly as I pulled at some grass.

Landon,
I nodded, "Of course," I said softly. I looked at her, "How do you do this alone?" I asked, shaking my head.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I shrugged as I shredded the grass between my dirty fingers,"I have to do this alone,"I said shrugging,"I have no other choice." I looked at him,"Do you not do this alone? Do you have a buddy or something?"

Landon,
I looked over at Lydia, "I never said I was doing this alone." I told her, "I have siblings Lydia, I'm just the one that has to care for them. I don't exactly live the same way you do."

[lauren.]

Lydia.
"Then why spend that money for the medicine on me when you could have used it for your siblings?"I asked looking right at him. "They're more important then I am,"I said very extremely confused by this guy.

Landon,
I sighed, "We all have some reason for doing what we do. I help my family as much as I can, and they hold up just fine. I want to help others Lydia. I want to help you. You're pretty important to me, even if you think otherwise." I looked into her eyes, letting her know I meant it. She didn't give herself enough credit.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I frowned slightly,"We don't even know each other. So how can I be important to you?"I asked. I know I was being a complete downer but I couldn't help but ask these questions. I wanted to know.

Landon,
"Because I haven't had any actual friends in my life. You're the closest thing I have Lydia. Even if you push me away you've already made a difference to me." I said, leaning my back up against the tree. I looked away, before looking back at her, "That's just how it is, I guess."

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I looked at where Levi had bandaged me up. I was surprised he hadn't brought the police to come and get me. I mean now would be the perfect time. But then again, someone who is your friend wouldn't help bandage you up. "Will you not turn me in?"I asked biting my lip.

Landon,
I smirked slightly, "Don't you think that if I really wanted to do that, I would've done it by now?" I asked her. I understood why she was so uptight, but she needed to realize I was here to help.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I rolled my eyes slightly,"I know. But I have to ask. It's hard for me. Trying to let someone in and trust them. It's not really my thing,"I said laughing slightly as I leaned my head back against the tree.

Landon,
"Yeah, I can see that." I said with a low chuckle. Part of me began to feel guilty when she said the word trust. Considering I wasn't being all that truthful to her. But it wasn't a bad lie, was it?
