You cannot save people, you can only love them

Aspen,
I looked up at him, my lower lip trembling. I wrapped my arms around him, pressing my face into his chest. "Peter I can't do this," I said, tears sliding down my cheeks. He meant the world to me, and he was being taken from me.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I hugged her tighty,"You can,"I whispered to her, trying to swallow the lump that was burning my throat. "You'll be okay,"I said my voice breaking,"I'll be back in no time to be right back at your side all better,"I said smoothing her hair. Who knew how long I was going to be gone, but I wanted to make sure I was rid of the addiction before I came home. "You can come see me on visiting days,"I murmured,"We'll still be able to see each other.

Aspen,
I looked up at him with a tear stained face. "I'm going to miss you so much." I whispered. Just looking at him broke my heart. I wouldn't be able to see him whenever I wanted now, I felt crushed.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I frowned,"Please stop crying baby,"I whispered as I wiped her tears away, each one shattering my heart. "This is his temporary,"I said as I kissed her forehead. "You have no idea how much I love you,"I said as I looked into her eyes,"So very much."

Aspen,
"I love you more than you could even imagine," I said, sniffling. I needed to be strong, for him, for the both of us. "Get better Peter." I bit my tongue, trying so hard not to cry again.

[lauren.]

Peter.
"I'll try,"I whispered. I took her head delicately in my hands and kissed her pouting lips so passionately that it almost knocked me to my knees. Damn, why is this so fucking hard? I pulled away bfore I could start crying, I wouldn't cry in front of her. I turned and grabbed my bags,"I love you,"I said clearing my throat and giving her a smile. I kissed her head on my way pasted her then walked downstairs to the car that was waiting in the driveway for me.

Aspen,
I turned and watched him walk down the hallway, then down the stairs. I covered my mouth, feeling as though my world was ending. This was probably what death felt like. I took a deep breath, trying to regain my composure. I was going to miss his lips, his touch, his laugh, everything.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I threw my bags into the trunk and climbed into the backseat. I had to keep reminding myself that I was doing this for Aspen so I wouldn't keep hurting her. I took a deep breathe and closed my eyes as I felt the car began to move taking me away from my life.

Aspen,
I walked down the stairs, hugging myself as I watched the car disappear down the road. I swallowed, a lump in my throat. I was completely alone. I sat on the couch, staring out the window. "I love you Peter." I said quietly.

Peter.
I stared out the window of th room I had been staying in while I was here. Today is the day I would be going home to start my life over again with Aspen. It's honestly been almost a year since I decided to get into this program and it's helped, emensly. I was just now waiting for Aspen to come pick me up, it's been awhile. This program was intense and I was only allowed to see her once a month.

Aspen,
I was more than eager to see Peter. I was going to take him home and he was never going to leave me again. I pulled up to the center, practically running out of my car. "I'm here to pick up Peter Evans," I told the lady, excitement in my eyes. My heart pounded as she led me to his room. "Mr.Evans, Aspen is here to pick you up." She said. I saw him, covering my mouth to hide my smile, but it showed through my eyes.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I looked towards the door to see the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life. I nodded to the nurse in thanks as I let a huge grin spread across my face. I walked towards her picking her up in my arms, not feel deprived anymore. "Hello,"I breathed as my hands caressed her body to actually make sure she was here in my arms. When she came for visits once a month, I wasn't allowed to touch her or kiss her. But now I was free.

Aspen,
"Hi," I smiled, biting my lip as I placed my hands on his cheeks. "You look so good Peter," I whispered, feeling my eyes become watery. "I've missed you so much." I could see a healthy glow radiating off of him, something I hadn't seen for a while.

[lauren.]

Peter.
"Don't you dare cry,"I said chuckling as I set her back down on her feet. "God, you're even more gorgeous then I could have imagined,"I said taking her face in my hands. "I've missed you too,"I said kissing her lips for what has felt like forever. Damn, it felt good. It felt like my heart was going to explode from the happiness I felt.

Aspen,
I held onto his wrists as I kissed him back, missing his sweet, sweet lips. "I could kiss you all day," I whispered, "but I would really like to go home. It's been so lonely without you." I stared at him, admiring every single one of his features.
