I KNOWWWWW. I don't know why I'm making him do these things, they just fittttt. ____
Draco I sighed. "You really have to work on your ability to accept compliments. At this rate you're going to be permanently red because I won't be able to resist telling you that you're the most amazing, beautiful, perfect wife in the entire world," I grinned.

I KNOWWWWWW, HE'S SO ADORABLEEEEE~ ____
Draco I put my arm around her shoulder, laughing quietly. "No, no, I don't think I will. Every time I see you'll I'll be thinking it and then I'll have to tell you," I said, leaning my head atop hers. Even though we were sat in a gaudy pink chapel with tacky decorations, we were going to be married soon and that was the only thing I was thinking about.

Caroline I leaned into him and wrapped my arms around his torso, closing my eyes. I was always so comfortable around him. He was an outstanding pillow. The thought made me smile. My pillow. "I may have to allow occasional outbursts," I murmured.

Draco I smiled. "Good, because I won't be able to stop myself." I glanced at my watch and made an annoyed noise in the back of my troat. "It's been longer than ten minutes, I swear."

Caroline I laughed quietly, patting his chest gently. "Just be patie--"
"Urm, the Malfoys...?" An uncertain voice called out, and I looked up. The pink-haired girl from earlier was there with a piece of parchment. "We'll be separating you for a bit so you can choose the details of your wedding, so, you might want to come this way." I didn't want to leave Draco, not at all, but I knew it was kind of tradition or whatever, so I stood and pulled him up with me.

Draco I stood up with Caroline and the pink haired woman led us off down a hall on the left. She stopped in front of a door with a hollywood-star style sign on the front that said 'Groom'. "You're in there," the woman said, nodding and leading Caroline off. I blew her kiss from down the hall and entered the room where a guy was hanging different suits off a rail. There was a white suit, a black suit, a bright orange suit and a flashing blue suit. Honestly. "I'll take the black one," I said to the man. Simple suit. Not flashing, not blue.

Caroline I bit my lip as we were separated. I was nervous now that he wasn't beside me, very very nervous. The girl led me off to another similar door with the word 'Bride' written in golden, enchanted letters that wriggled on the door. "In here," the pink-haired girl said. I entered the room and she left me alone in the presence of a petite, brown-haired girl who smiled at me. "Hello, I'm Melody," she said. Her voice was soft, friendly. I smiled back at her. She seemed very nice. "I'm Caroline," I said back, my voice quiet from nerves rather than shyness. "We've got dresses for you to pick from, lots of them, and you look like maybe a size 3?" Caroline nodded, surprised at the girl's intuition. Melody rolled a wrack of white, ivory, and off-white dresses into the room. "Forgive me, you just seem a bit more like the traditional type. I'm not sure you'd like the, uh, flashier dresses." The hesitation in her voice clearly insinuated that flashy wasn't necessary the foremost adjective in her mind regarding the other dresses. I just smiled and nodded again. "Thank you, you're quite right." Melody smiled and immediately went to work, showing me dresses.

Draco The guy who was my 'assistant' or whatever the correct term was wasn't very talkative. He looked bored and slightly annoyed as he passed me the black suit and then left so I could change, probably to have a cigarette as I could see a pack sticking out of his pocket. I changed into the suit, folding my own clothes neatly and then surveyed myself in the full length mirror on the wall. I looked quite good, I had to say. And there I was, on my wedding, er, night, in a tacky chapel and a cheap suit. Still, everything felt perfect.

Caroline I sighed as Melody showed me some of the dresses. I didn't really like the ones with straps, or the ones with long flowy sleeves, but I wasn't quite sure I could pull off a strapless dress with my I-didn't-want-to-grow-up-after-being-twelve body type. I bit my lip when Melody showed me a strapless dress I actually sort of liked. It was plain -- just straight across the chest with smooth silky fabric and little beads sewn into the fabric at the ends. The dress itself was creme colored, but I really liked it. Melody let me try it on. "It looks lovely," she said softly, smiling widely at me.
"Do you tell everyone that?" I asked, a little wryly, but I turned around to smile at her as I stood in front of a mirror.
"Not usually," Melody admitted. "But you do look beautiful. Whoever he is, he's lucky." It was then that I realized that Melody probably didn't know that I was marrying Draco Malfoy, the infamous boy who'd had the Wizarding World torn for the past year and a half, wondering, good or bad? good or bad? As if it were any of their business.
"Do you want me to do your makeup? I will, I kind of like you." Melody set up multiple bags of makeup on a vanity table and gestured for me to sit down.
"You don't like most of the girls who come through, then?" I asked, glancing at her as she studied my face. She set aside all of the powders and liquids in her bags. Apparently, she didn't need them
"Not usually," Melody muttered in a slightly bitter tone, biting her lip. "No powders. You have great skin, I'm actually quite jealous." She began working on putting a light layer of eyeshadow over my eyes. "Grey...It goes beautifully with your eyes."
"So why don't you like them, when they come through? What makes me so different?" I kept my eyes closed as she applied the makeup to my face. It was a little nervous -- I didn't usually allow others to put makeup on my face.
"If you'll forgive me for saying so, most of the girls who come through here are street whores who think they can marry quick and get some more, rich, drunk bloke to sell their souls for a shag." Melody shook her head. "You seem like you've got a head on you, I don't see you selling yourself on a corner." She paused in the application of mascara and I opened my eyes hesitantly. she was studying me quietly. "You've thought this marriage out, haven't you? Why're you doing it here?"
"Complicated reasons," I muttered quickly, closing my eyes again as the mascara brush approached my lashes.
"I'm done," she said quietly, and I opened my eyes and looked at the mirror. Not much makeup at all had been applied, but I was surprised that it actually looked rather good.
"Thank you, Melody," I said, grinning at her. "You got talent with cosmetics...Why don't you work somewhere else? A salon?"
Melody smiled and shrugged. "Too young. Nobody wants to hire an 'inexperienced' worker these days." I gave her a sympathetic smile and stood, looking at myself in the full-length mirror on the door with the word 'Bride' on the other side. I felt...I dunno, prettier than usual. I didn't often dwell on looks but tonight I kind of wanted to look right for Draco. Getting married in this Merlin-knows-why-it-was-even-established-because-nothing-should-be-this-pink chapel wasn't either of our first choices, but it was what we had and I was taking it gladly.

Draco I stood around for a while, waiting for the guy to come back because I wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to do now. Eventually he returned, stinking of smoke and probably some alcohol. "You don't want make-up, do you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Er, no thanks," I said, shaking my head. "Tch. You'd be surprised the amount of guys come through here that do," he said, shaking his head too. "Come on, follow me." I followed him down some corridors and into a room that was as pink as the rest of the place. It was the chapel part, where the ceremony took place. An arch adorned with roses and hearts stood in front of the minister's podium. The chairs set out in front of it were pink and frilly and the whole stunk of a too-sweat perfume. Supposedly 'romantic' music starting playing out of some speakers as I walked up to the arch to wait for Caroline. The man seated himself at an electric keyboard, tested a few keys, and then began playing wedding songs for practice.

Caroline "Flowers," Melody suddenly said, "Do you want flowers? Of course you want flowers. You do want flowers, right? They're over here." She led me over to a group of buckets of singing flowers. "Geraniums, daisies, roses, tulips..." Melody pointed out all of the types of flowers to me, but I only saw one, a small bouquet sitting in the back of a bucket full of rhododendrons.
"Can I have those?" I asked quietly, pointing to them. Confused, Melody picked up a handful of rhododendrons, but I shook my head. "The ones in the back."
"Chrysanthemums?" Melody shrugged and handed me the flowers. "Whatever floats your boat." I wasn't particularly listening to her, though, because I was staring at the blue chrysanthemums in my hands. What were the chances that this horrible, terrible, cheesy, tacky wedding chapel would have one bouquet of blue chrysanthemums? I wasn't any sort of mathematician, and I knew those chances were slim. This was a sign, obviously. A good one. One that even I would have believed in if Trelawney had told me of it.
"Caroline? Do you want a ribbon?" I was pulled from my thoughts by Melody. She looked like she'd been calling me for a bit, and I apologized and told her that I would like a ribbon. A green or yellow one, if she could manage.
"I think you're ready," Melody said, giving me a warm smile and clapping slightly. Just then, an older, slightly fat man opened the door and leaned in. "Gregory! What if she'd been changing? You absolutely must start knocking!"
"Wha'ever," the man said, rolling his eyes. "I'she ready? 'E's out 'ere waiting."
Melody looked at me, here eyes wide, and I nodded. My stomach was about to explode with nerves and I almost felt like I would faint. I was about to marry Draco. I was about to marry Draco. I was about to marry Draco. I was about to marry Draco. I was about to marry Draco.
I was about to marry Draco.
Oh, Merlin.
I was about to marry Draco.
I was dangerously close to hyperventilating, but I willed myself to calm down and follow that gross, fat old man to the chapel and get married.
To Draco.
Oh, Merlin.

Draco A man had come in and introduced himself as Gregory, the minister, before asking how long I'd been there and then going off to find Caroline. Now I could hear his voice booming along the corridor, getting closer. Which meant Caroline was with him. We were going to get married and she was nearly here and everything was going to be perfect. I couldn't help it, I stood there grinning like a lunatic, waiting for Caroline to come through the doors. First Gregory came back in and winked at me. "Found 'er. Still gerrin' ready y'know 'ow girls are," he said, laughing. He stood behind the ministers podium and signalled to the smoking man on keyboard, who started playing. This was it.

Caroline I stood outside the doors to the chapel, I heard the music start, and I could have sworn I was about to faint. "Oh, dear Merlin, I need to calm down," I muttered to myself, and I felt a hand on my elbow.
"Need any help?" Melody said, looking sympathetically at me. I looked at her, feeling completely grateful.
"Yes," I said desperately. "I'm freaking out, I mean I know there's no reason to, we've been together for who-knows-how-long, and we've been through so much together, there's no way we're not right for this, bu--"
"Caroline, calm down." Melody hissed at me, not unkindly. "Whoever this guy is, he's standing in there, and he's probably dressed in some crappy suit from Twilfitt and Tattings, standing next to Gregory-the-greasy-old-slimeball, to marry you. Going through this hellhole for you, so you've nothing to worry about! He obviously loves you, so stop second-guessing and let's go down that aisle!"
I stared at her, open-mouthed for a minute, before I let out a deep breath and nodded. She'd succeeded in calming me down rather well. "Thank you," I said reverently. "For everything, you're a lifesaver." If Viola were here, she'd have done the same thing. The thought froze in my mind and I closed it out. I wouldn't do this right now. I wasn't going to have mental breakdown after mental breakdown when I was supposed to be in there, marrying Draco. The words didn't send panic through me this time. I smiled and opened my eyes.
Melody noticed my change in mood and grinned, opening the doors. "C'mon," she muttered, and she walked with me until almost the end of the aisle. I kept my eyes down, suddenly feeling foolish, like a little girl who'd been caught playing dress-up and forced to do a cat-walk in front of family and friends. Only when I stood in front of Draco did Melody leave my side, and I allowed myself to look up at Draco, even if it was only a glance or a once-over.
He was wearing a cheap suit (I would have bet anybody that it was Twilfitt and Tattings, too) but otherwise he looked exactly as I'd left him. The only thing the same about my appearance from ten minutes before was that my hair was still down, falling down to the middle of my back because I hadn't cut it since before the Battle. I took a deep breath, staring straight into his eyes. I twisted a petal from the chrysanthemums in my hands between my fingers nervously.

Draco I had stared at Bridget from the moment she'd entered the room. She looked absolutely stunning, amazing, beautiful. She had on a bit of make-up which looked strange to me at first as I'd never seen her with make-up on, but it only served the purpose of making her look more perfect. The dress she picked was simple, which suited Caroline perfectly. Somehow, I couldn't imagine she would walk down the ailse in a flashing pink sequined dress. She kept her head down the entire walk, embarrassed I was sure. I knew she would be. There were only 3 other people in the room aside from me but she was still shy. She was holding chrysanthemums and twisting them and looking nervous and a bit scared. I was snapped out of my Caroline-amazingness-obsession by Gregory speaking. "Ahem, righ', now, we gavver 'ere today t' witness the marridge ov, er, Draco Malfoy 'n Caroline Hanna Smith. If anywan 'ere 'as any objections, then speak now, or foreva 'old your peace." Gregory paused as if actually expecting somebody to burst through the doors and try to stop the wedding, or a jaded ex-lover would suddenly emerge from under a chair or something and start screaming abuse. Of course, nothing of the sort happened.
