Mitch I grinned. "Then let's go find a hotel and we'll go find a local place to eat at."
Taylor I sighed and shrugged. "Do you guys want to all ride in the van? It's way bigger and if we drive in different vehicles, it kind of defeats the purpose. And I've got a chain in the back, your car can come along behind us."

Jacob, "Yeah, it'd probably be easier too," I said with a shrug. Plus, I didn't really want to drive anymore.
Sydney, "Well, let's not just stand here then," I said with a smile. I was a pretty eager kid now that Mitch was with me.

Taylor I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Let's go, then, hop on board, kiddies." I got back into my van and started it up, waiting for Mitch, his friend Jacob, and Syd to load up.
Mitch I got into the back of the hatchback van, in the bed area that looked like the girls had been practically living in it for ages. It smelled like perfume and soap, salt and fresh air at the same time. It was pleasant, but unusual. "Nice van, Taylor," I commented, grinning at her. She smiled wanly at me through the rearview mirror and asked me to close the back doors when Jacob was in.

Jacob, I got in behind Mitch, looking around. I could totally picture a girl like Taylor having a girl like this. It..suited her, I guess.
Sydney, I got into the passengers seat and put my dreaded seatbelt on. "They need to make these things away from peoples' necks," I said.

Taylor I laughed and rolled my eyes at Sydney's comment, backing out of the convenience store's parking lot and pulling out onto the main road. "That sort of defeats the purpose of the whole life-saving ordeal," I said sarcastically, smirking slightly. "Just help me look for like, a Holiday Inn or a freaking Super 8 or whatever," I added on.
Mitch "Valiantly looking out, mi capitán," I said, practically gluing my nose to one of the windows that kept the van well-lit. All I had to do was push the light yellow curtains out of the way.

Jacob, I looked the other direction, hoping something was nearby soon. "It's amazing how much you can learn to hate sitting in a car," I said.
Sydney, I glanced back at Mitch and smiled to myself. He really was a character, and that's what I liked about him. I looked out my window, letting out a yawn.

Taylor "Ditto," I sighed frustratedly, as I realized almost all of the businesses on this road were restaurants and boutiques.
Mitch I looked farther down the road, searching for a good motel or hotel or whatever. "Oh, there's a little motel. The Dragonfly Inn? Wanna check it out?"

Sydney, "It's worth a shot. And it looks cute, that's always a plus," I said with a smile.
Jacob, I laughed, "Oh yeah, guys love that," I joked with a grin.

Mitch "Hey!" I said defiantly, pouting at my best friend. "I like cute stuff!"
Taylor I tried to suppress it. I really did. But I chuckled anyway. Oh well.

Jacob, "Oh yeah, Mitch likes all that cute stuff. Kittens, pink, rainbows, ya know," I said with a grin.
Sydney, I giggled and covered my mouth. "Stuff like that Mitch? Real manly," I smiled.

Mitch "Manly as it gets," I said, puffing my chest out proudly.
Taylor I sighed and shook my head, pulling into the Dragonfly Inn's parking lot. There was a sign that I noticed as I got out of the van, showing their prices. They were kind of more expensive than a shitty hotel, but we could afford it. We could use one room, as long as it had a bed and a couch. "C'mon, guys," I called out, already in the hotel's lobby.

Sydney, I ran out of the car, quickly going inside as I looked around. I smiled and the decor and lovely wallpaper. It looked like the owners cared about it, so I liked it.
Jacob, I followed in behind the group and let out a yawn. I was honestly just tired, so I didn't really care about where we were.

Taylor I walked up to the front counter and smiled at the younger guy at the computer. "Hello," I chirped. "One room, please?" He smiled charmingly at me and nodded. I sighed and leaned slightly on the counter.
Mitch I looked around the lobby and smiled, shrugging as I stood beside Sydney. "It's quaint. Homey," I finally decided on, nodding.

Syndey, I nodded with a smile, "I like it. I like things that remind me of home," I said as I hugged myself.
Jacob, "You live in a motel?" I grinned as she gave me a look. I liked to messed with people. "So funny," She said.

Taylor I smiled at their banter and paid the clerk, smiling at me as he handed me the key to the room. I felt his eyes on me as I walked away, swinging the key in my hand. "Okay, guys. Let's go put our stuff up and go find somewhere to eat."
Mitch I groaned and clutched my stomach. "Good! I'm starving!"
