"I said, let her go!" Shannon screamed, grabbing Lyla and hugging her to her protectively, glaring at the guard, daring him to do anything.

Lyla gripped her.
Darius was suddenly there. "Let her go Shannon. You aren't aloud alone anymore. Feeding -is- forbidden. Get your things and downstairs. Lyla follow the man."

Lyla grabbed a hold of Shays sleeve. She ripped itnas she wa pretty much dragged away.

Shannon's mouth pinched into a thin line as she glared at Darius. "You don't understand, what's going on here," I told him angrily, and stormed back into our apartment. I started shoving more of our things into the duffle bag I had.

Shannon I huffed angrily, throwing the duffle bag to the floor, watching it slide down the linoleum to the kitchen. I sat there, panting from anger and frustration, before leaning on the back of the couch. I started to feel angry tears well in my eyes but I wiped them away and retrieved the bag to start filling it again.

Lyla screamed more and her sudden spike of fear could be felt by Shannon.
Darius kept watching. "Hurry. We don't want to cause a.disturbance."

Shannon gasped and dropped the bag, putting her hand to her forehead. She whimpered slightly, squeezing her eyes shut. "Tell them to back off of her. Comfort her. Something. Do it or I won't move another inch."

Shannon swore under her breath, glaring at the man as she hurried past and dragged the duffle bag along. "Lyles!" she shouted, coming into the lobby. "Let go of her, I'm here. I'm the only one who'll be able to calm her down, stop touching her," she said to various people as she came to Lyla. She knelt beside her and put her arms around her, soothing her hair. "Ssssh, ssssh, Lyles, it's alright, we'll be fine. Calm down now, sweetheart, calm down. Deep breaths, stop screaming, please. Please stop screaming, Lyla, please."
