I quickly made my way through the cafeteria line, buying only a bag of chips and a Coke. I scanned the cafeteria, seeing Daniel by another girl. Another girl? What? I couldn't lie, I felt something in me just kind of, I dunno, deflate when I saw them together. Okay, then... I started looking for a seat somewhere else.
Jenny
I got my lunch and sat beside Chelsea, who was beside some new kid. "Jenny," I said, introducing myself right off-the-bat.

Chelsea
"Nice to see you to, Jen," I said, rolling my eyes at him as he sat down and introduced himsel to Daniel. Honestly. And he calls himself my best friend.
Daniel
"Nice to meet you. I'm Daniel," I said, smiling at the guy who'd just sat down at introduced himself as Jenny. And then I saw Maggie on the other side of the cafeteria and stood up. "Be right back," I said to Chelsea and Jenny, making my way over to where Maggie was.

I glanced at Chelsea and laughed at her indignant expression. "Awww, darling, I'm sorry. I was introucing myself to Newboy McKinney over there." I ruffled her hair and threw my arm around her shoulders. "How've your classes been?"
Maggie
I looked around again, seeing the girl Daniel had been with, with another boy. What on earth was going on? He was coming my way. Okay, okay, Maggie. Just, I dunno, don't be like some jealous housewife. You talked to him for one period. Get over yourself.

I leaned on him and sighed. "Same as always. Boring and tiring. And yours?" I asked
Daniel
"Hey Mags! I've been looking for you," I smiled, slipping into the seat next to her. "I couldn't find you before lunch but Chelsea offered to show me around," I said, gesturing behind me. "You should come and sit with us."

I looked up at him and smiled, I couldn't help it. "Okay," I said quietly, standing with my tray.
Jenny
I grinned and squeezed her. "Awww. Jonesy didn't like it when I said the Pledge of Allegiance incorrectly in American history. But, ya know, that's just normal stuff for me." I laughed.

I smiled and stood up to, leading the way back over to where Chelsea and Jenny were sitting. "Chelsea, Jen, this is Maggie. Maggie, this is Chelsea and Jen," I said, getting introductions and such out of the way.
Chelsea
I smiled at Maggie, the girl Daniel brought over who he'd mentioned before. "Hey," I said, giving a little wave with my had after Daniel had introduced us all.

I laughed and waved. "I've seen you guys around before." Now that I thought about it, I'd always seen these two together, like they were joined at the hip, though I'd never known their names.
Jenny
I tapped a beat on the table before swiftly stealing a fry from Chelsea's tray. I glanced sideways at her as I ate it.

I rolled my eyes at Jen. He always stole my food, because he's an annoying little bugger like that. "Welcome to our little group, Maggie," I said, smiling at her.
Daniel
I sat back down in my seat and continued to eat my lunch, digging my schedule out of my pocket to see what I had next and if any of my new friends were in that class. "So, anybody have Science next?" I asked.

My hand shot up. "Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" I squealed, grinning, but then I frowned. "But I have a different science, I'm in the grade above you, I think."
Maggie
I laughed at Jenny, just jokingly, of course. I caught eye cotact with Chelsea and shook my head, still smiling though.

I smiled and shook my head when Maggie caught my eye. "You'll get used to him. Eventually."

"Oh. Ah well, there was always gonna be one class where I'm on my own," I said, stuffing my schedule back in my pocket.

I glanced at Daniel. "Oh, wait -- Biology II? I think I have that next. Let me see..." I started digging in my purse for my schedule, wherever it was. "Aha! Here it is...Oh, I do have Biology next." I grinned at Daniel, nudging him. "You won't be alone, after all!"
Jenny
I chuckled, ruffling Chelsea's hair again, just for the heck of it.

I glanced at Jenny and Chelsea, who both seemed preoccupied and a riot within themselves, then back at Daniel. "Oh, sure. You're just a social outcast." I laughed quietly, shaking my head.

"Jen," I whined, trying to push him away. "If you don't stop I'll hate you forever," I warned, a regular (empty) threat I used.

"I know. It's my shyness. It cripples my social skills," I said, sighing dramatically.
