"That's my girl, give us a big smile, huh?" I slowly removed my arms from Micah's neck as my father and Joey returned, but I stayed by his side and took his hand again. Dad looked at me and smiled. "She's all good now. I'll call the pizza and you'll make the salad?" He said, raising an eyebrow. I smiled and nodded, laughing quietly as Joey began tugging on the pant of his leg. "Sure, Dad. Is pepperoni alright with you?" I asked Micah.

Dad nodded and walked off to the living room, Joey following close behind. "Cheesy crust Daddy? Please?" she cooed, running ahead of him. I smiled and looked at Micah.

I laughed and called out to Dad that it was fine, moving to the fridge and getting out a head of lettuce and some baby carrots. I got out a cutting board and got out my chef knife to shred the lettuce with.

I smiled and leaned slightly against him, looking at him from the side and kissing his cheek. "Are you going to be my extra hands?" I said jokingly as I led him over to the counter, setting my things up and starting to chop the lettuce.

I smiled and laughed, quieter this time, and fell silent as i chopped and tossed the salad. I just wanted it to be ready and done. "The pizza's ordered, it should be here in a half-hour," Dad called out just as I finished with the salad and put it in the fridge. "Okay," I called back.
