I turned my back to him, pressing it against his chest. I didn't want him to see me cry because that's what I was doing. Everything felt like it was going to crumble down and it was all just building to that. I cried silently, squeezing my eyes shut. This just might be it. I shouldn't have gotten myself into this.

I shut my eyes, trying to calm myself down. I was scared as hell, to be honest. I loved her with all my heart, but I just couldn't lose everything. I felt a lump form in my throat as I released her from my arms, "I'll be back soon," I whispered to her as I pulled my boxers back on, heading out of the room. I needed to clear my head.

I stared into her now tear filled eyes as I felt my heart sink. She meant it, I know she did. "I love you too, Valarie. So much," I looked at her a bit longer before I turned back away, heading out of the room. That was the issue. My love for her was bigger than anything else in the world.

The tears came falling down once he had left the room. My heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest. I laid back down, curling into a ball with the covers wrapped around me. I let a sob wrack my body over and over.

I headed downstairs to the kitchen where I opened the fridge and poured myself a glass of wine. I leaned against the counter, taking a sip as I stared ahead of me. What the hell was wrong with me? Why was my father able to get into my head so easily? The woman of my dreams was crying upstairs, and I was down here, doing nothing. I just couldn't bare to see her like that right now. I was also at a weak state, and well, it would crush me.

I breathed in deeply over and over trying to calm myself down. I just wanted it to get over with. I hate the anticipation. Will he tell me that he loves me and doesn't care with whatever his father had said, or will he tell me that this isn't going to work? Just at the thought of that a sob escaped my lips.
