Gabriel.
"You get a kick out of it?"I asked shaking my head. How can he & his so called friend get a kick out of it? It's creepy. Very creepy.

Harper.
My eyes widened slightly as Oliver said he had schizophrenic. Why did my parents send me here with...crazies? Oh no. I shifted in my seat slightly,"My name's Harper,"I said pausing for a moment,"And I'm deaf so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing here.."I said slowly.

Oliver,
The room became quiet as we all sort of stared at Harper. "If you're deaf...why do you respond to us so well?" I asked her. That explains why she claimed that I snuck up on her. And I wondered why she was here too, we were worse off than her.

Ali,
I immediately felt bad for her. I couldn't imagine not being able to hear people's voices. I chewed on my cheek. I guess we were all put here to work together, to maybe cure ourselves. I pulled at my hair, listening to what Harper said.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
Deaf? Dear god how does she live like that? I stared at her really feeling sorry for her. Her parents sent her here? With so called crazy people?

Harper.
I hated the way they stared at me. It's happened all my life. "I didn't go deaf till I was eleven. I can read lips which is how I can communicate, though it's much easier with hand signs but I realize people do not learn sign language so I have to be really good at lip reading,"I said shrugging like it was no big deal.

Oliver,
I could tell from her voice that she repeated this numerous times. "I learned sign language when I was younger. I don't remember a good amount of it though," I said with a sigh. "It must be really hard, though you're used to it by now."

Ali,
I listened to the two speak, but constantly looked over at Gabriel. There was something about him that intrigued me. I stood up, "I'll let you two talk," I smiled softly, looking over at Gabriel, motioning for him to come with me.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
I raided an eyebrow wondering why Ali was leaving them. I shrugged and got up following Ali out. "So why did we leave them?"I asked once we were away.

Harper.
I watched the two leave, wondering why they left. "It's not about getting use to it. I still struggle with it everyday. Sometimes days are good, some aren't,"I said running a hand through my hair.

Oliver,
I frowned, "I can't even imagine," I said, shaking my head. I stood still for a minute, listening to what Garrett was telling me. "Garrett wants to know how you became deaf," I said, looking back over her. She wasn't born with it, it was very unusual.

Ali,
"I'm not a big fan of group meetings," I said. The last "group meeting" I was in almost cost me a jail cell. "Besides I'm eager to look around," I added, opening the double doors the reveal the backyard. It was freshly mowed, and a glistening pool sat in the middle. "I could get used to this," I smiled. "So how did you start being delusional?" I asked, taking a step outside.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
I frowned,"I'm not delusional,"I said as I stepped out behind her, staring at the nicely kept place. Are we sure that we don't have maids and cooks? This was way too clean and kept up.

Harper.
I raised an eyebrow as I looked around. "Who's Garrett?"I asked not seeing anyone else in the room with us. He can't possibly be taking to an...imaginary person.

Oliver,
I looked at her, "Garrett is my best friend," I told her with a slight frown. "He has been since I was ten. My parents didn't like me hanging out with him, but I honestly didn't give a shit what they said." I smirked. I didn't understand why people always asked me that; he was always there.

Ali,
I pursed my lips. I forgot he would never admit it. "How do you know someone's following you? Have you seen this person before?" I asked, looking up at him. The kids here had it bad. I didn't have a problem, I was fine.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
I nodded,"I do. Not like a fully body shot but like when I quickly turn around after I hear a noise I see a small glimpse of their face,"I said glancing behind me quickly just to make sure he wasn't there.

Harper.
I pursed my lips intruiged by what he was saying, yet... feeling weirded out by it all. I glanced beside him at where he had looked eariler, still not seeing this so called Garrett. I cleared my throat,"Okay. Well I became deaf from some infection that my parents hadn't caught in time but of course they didn't think it would lead to me being deaf. So they just thought some chicken noodle soup and small doses of medicine would help."

Oliver,
"That's parents for ya," I said with a small chuckle. "I'm really sorry though, I can't imagine why they'd send you here. Hell, I don't know why any of us are here. It's nice and all, but seemingly unnecessary." I ran my hand through my hair, watching her. I didn't mind having her around.

Ali,
I glanced back also; no one was there. "Do you know what this person looks like? Or why they're following you?" I was curious as to what went on in his mind. Psychotics always intrigued me. I'd probably never leave my room if I was in his situation.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
I shrugged,"I don't really get a good look at their faces but I know there is one lady and one guy. Though I do believe that they are after me because I have a miraculous chemical in body that could cure some diseases,"I said serious as I looked at the pool. My parents tell me that with this so called delusional disorder that I think at times I'm the greatest thing on earth ever and that I can fix anything. But whatever.

Harper.
I shrugged, not knowing why I was here but understanding why he was here. But I didn't want to start any fights or anything. "Do you remember any signs?"I asked wondering if he did. It was so much easier to communicate because reading lips makes me tired and get a headache.

Oliver,
"Hmm," I said as I sat for a moment to think. I then signed 'I remember some' to her. I could understand sign language well, my mom for some reason kept me consistent with it until I apparently "lost it". I felt that it would be good for me to practice again, plus it'd be easier on her.

Ali,
I wanted to laugh so bad. A miraculous chemical? Yeah, okay. I bit my tongue so restrain myself. "I can imagine why you'd always be on alert then," I said. I had to go along with it. I couldn't be rude. "Why don't you tell the police?" I asked.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
I shook my head,"If I tell the police then they would probably take me into custody and try to get the chemical themselves,"I gasped slightly as I looked at her. "You cannot tell anyone,"I said crossing my arms.

Harper.
I smiled and nodded 'So I see' I signed back. "Did you learn it for a certain reason?"I asked signing along the way as I spoke now. It was nice that at least someone know a little sign language.

Oliver,
I had to think once more; it was a little difficult for me to recall what I learned, but it eventually came to me. "My uncle was deaf. I didn't see him much, but my mom insisted I learn for when we visited him." I signed. I was actually quite impressed with myself.

Ali,
I stared at him. He was completely serious. "I swear I won't tell," I told him. Besides, people would think I was crazy if I did. I just couldn't wrap my head around how someone would become well...crazy.

[lauren.]

Gabriel.
I nodded as I let out a breathe,"Okay good,"I said nodding my head. I turned and looked up at the practical mansion that we were living in. "So why do you think they only put four people in this house? I mean it's freaking huge and has multiple rooms."

Harper.
I clapped for him,"Impressive. It's fantastic that you were able to learn it. A lot of people just shrug it off and don't really think about it,"I said/signed. I smiled extremely impressed that he remembered.
