I smiled and shrugged slightly,"I'm already proud of her,"I said simply. I am, who wouldn't be with a well behaved beautiful little girl? I breathed in to stop my eyes from stinging with tears.

Once the recital began I sat back and watched it, though
my mind was other places quite a few times. This was best
for Taylor, us together like this, but was it best for me? I
stared ahead, trying to make it seem like my mind wasn't
on other things.

[lauren.]

I got comfortable in my seat when the recital began. Tiny girls and some older coming out in tutus or ballerina outfits. I chuckled softly. This was all new to me, but it was cute. I watched intently waiting for Taylor to come out.

[haileyjordan]

As Taylor came out a smile grew across my face. She
was so graceful and relaxed. It brought back memories
of when I used to dance, but that was so long ago.
"She's perfect out there," I told Sam.

[lauren.]

I smiled as Taylor came out, graceful and poised. I leaned on the edge of the seat, my elbows on my knees and placing my chin in my hands as my eyes watched Taylor.

Once the recital finished I led Sam backstage. Taylor saw the both of
us and ran over. She hugged me tightly, "You did so good Taylor, I'm so
proud of you," I smiled as I let her go. She went over and gave Sam
a big hug also. "I'm so glad you came!" She exclaimed.

[lauren.]

I grinned,"I wouldn't have missed it Princess. You looked amazing out there,"I said as I pulled back from our hug.

[haileyjordan]

Taylor smiled and blushed, "Thank you daddy," she said. "Are you better
today Mommy?" Taylor asked as she looked at me, then at Sam. "She was
crying all last night," she said with a frown. Wow, leave it to a little girl to
bring it back up.

[lauren.]

My eyes flashed to Hannah,"You were crying?"I asked quietly. I looked at Taylor,"I'm sure she wasn't feeling well,"I said glancing at Hannah once more before looking at Taylor. "I brought you some flowers for your amazing performance,"I said smiling at my daughter as I handed her the bouquet of flowers. Subject change sounds good at the moment.

I was thankful that he changed the subject; it was extremely embarrassing.
"Thank you so much!" She said happily as she took the flowers. A group of
her little friends came over and asked if she wanted to go get ice cream. "Can I?"
She asked me. I smiled and nodded, "Go have fun," I said.

[lauren.]

I smiled as I watched her head off with her friends. It was great to see her have friends also. I straightened my posture and stuffed my hands into my pockets as I looked at Hannah with a look that said I'm sorry. I knew I was the one who made her cry last night.

[haileyjordan]

I ran a hand through my hair, "Do you wanna go somewhere? Either your house
or mine. I really think we need to talk," I told him, with a sincere voice.

[lauren.]

I nodded,"Yeah. What about Taylor?"I asked glancing in the way Taylor had left.

[haileyjordan]

"They know to drop her off at the sitters, just in case," I said as I
looked up at him. This whole thing just needed to be sorted out, and
I prayed that we wouldn't yell at each other.

[lauren.]

"Okay. I guess we could go to your place if you'd feel more comfortable there,"I said as we headed out of the building.
