I opened the door to the house and headed in, setting my purse on the
side table. I chewed on my lip as I looked over at Sam, then took a seat
on the couch, criss crossing my legs.

[lauren.]

I stepped inside her home, shutting the door behind me. I placed my jacket on the back of the chair and sat down beside her, but still with a good amount of distance.

[haileyjordan]

I let out a sigh, "We need to figure something out Sam. It's eating
me alive and I can't stand it. I just want to do what's best, and I'm not
sure what that is right now," I explained, looking down.

[lauren.]

I looked over at her,rubbing my hands against my jeans,"What do you mean? The thought of me being in Taylor's life? Or the feelings we have for each other?"I asked staring at the ground as my hands continued their nervous habit.

[haileyjordan]

"Well..." I said as I pursed my lips, "Both. I mean we aren't really doing
anything about it and I was just being stupid last night. I mean, I still have
a lot of feelings for you, I really do. I don't know why I'm holding back, I
don't really know my feelings right now."

[lauren.]

I was confused by what she was saying. I looked over at her trying to figure this out,"Well I'm not going to stop being apart of Taylor's life. I don't think she'd forgive me if I left,"I said sitting back on the couch. "As for us,"I said staring at her,"I want to be apart of your life too, but only if you'll let me,"I said clearing my throat. It might take awhile for her to... let me in,"I know I don't deserve it but I'm wanting to try."

[haileyjordan]

"I would never take you away from Taylor, not in a million
years," I said, playing with my hair. "Maybe for us...we should
just take it slow? I'm willing to try also Sam," I said quietly.

[lauren.]

I quickly looked at her, kind of shocked that she wanted to try being with me. "Take it slow,"I said nodding as I watched her. It'd be hard considering I wanted to take her right now but I would behave.

[haileyjordan]

"I just feel like I should stop living in the past.
I mean, it was seven years ago, we were both
stupid," I said with a light smile, "I'm trying to
convince myself that you've changed."

[lauren.]

"I have,"I said. Well it was kind of a lie, I mean, I've changed every since I saw Taylor. I've missed two hockey practices already, which I keep getting bitched about but I don't care.

[haileyjordan]

"Then I should stop acting like a bitch," I said as
I went over and hugged him, "I'm really sorry Sam,"
I said quietly.

[lauren.]

I instantly hugged her back, holding her close,"You have nothing to be sorry about. You're just being careful,"I said into her ear softly.

[haileyjordan]

"Sometimes I'm a little too careful though. I don't
think about the good from things, I need to learn to
loosen up," I said quietly, still in his arms.

[lauren.]

I chuckled as I kept her in my arms, not wanting to let her go,"You definitely should,"I said smiling to myself.

[haileyjordan]

"You go to plenty of parties, you should let me tag along,"
I grinned. "And trust me, weddings are not parties. At least
they aren't to me." I liked being in his arms; I felt safe.
