I pursed my lips, "I've been good, hanging in there," I told him.
I debated on whether or not to tell him he had a daughter. It was probably
too soon, and too much for him to handle. "Busy, as you can tell."
I was going to be civil with him, but nothing else.

[lauren.]

Sam;
I nodded,"That's good. Nothing exciting?"I asked raising an eyebrow. From how she acted in Las Vegas she had to have something exciting going on.

[haileyjordan]

I shrugged, "Nothing major, which isn't like me," I said.
That was a lie, there was something major that happened.
"What about you?" I asked, changing the subject. "How's
hockey going?" I knew he loved talking about himself, and
it would get my mind off the Taylor situation.

[lauren.]

Sam;
I grinned,"It's going great. The team's looking good this year. We should have another Stanley Cup by the end of the season. We've gotten a new assistant coach, how's okay. Should perk up more once he gets to know the gang,"I said shrugging.

[haileyjordan]

I smiled, "Well that's good. Glad to see you working hard," I said.
"You guys will do great this season, I already know it." I looked at
him then glanced down at his watch. It was getting late, and I needed
to go pick Taylor up.

[lauren.]

Sam;
I looked at her, noticing she was distracted,"Need to be somewhere?"I asked curious. Was she with another guy? The thought made me angry but I didn't know why.

[haileyjordan]

"I have some plans with a few of my girlfriends later tonight,
that's all," I lied with a small smile. "I really should head out now.
It was really nice talking to you Sam." I said as I dropped my hands
from his shoulders. I felt bad lying, but he couldn't know.

[lauren.]

Sam;
I noticed that something wasn't right from the smile she gave me. She was lying but I didn't say anything. I dropped my hands from around her waist and nodded,"Yeah, it was good to see you Hannah. Have fun,"I said giving her a smile.

[haileyjordan]

I looked at him once more before I exited the dance floor. I gave
my congrats to the bride and groom before I left. I ran my hand through
my hair. God Sam. Why now? I pulled out of the parking lot and
drove to Taylor's sitters house.

[lauren.]

Sam;
I had watched her walk away from me as I stuffed my hands in my pockets. She was definitely something and I missed it. Though I knew from just the short amount of me talking she was hiding something. I bet she was going to meet up with a guy instead of some friends, I thought bitterly. I went towards the bar and asked for some more wine.

I knocked on her door as Taylor opened it, hugging me tightly.
"Hi mommy!" She exclaimed as I picked her up, "Hello sweetie,"
I smiled as I kissed her cheek. "How was she tonight?" I asked Tori,
her sitter. "She was perfect, as always," she smiled. "Thank you so
much for tonight," I said as I paid her. "Anytime Ms. Levenson," she
smiled. I put Taylor in the car as I drove off. "Did you have fun?" I asked
her. She smiled and nodded, "Yes! We made cookies and watched a really
silly movie," she giggled.

Sam;
The rest of the night I had Hannah on my mind. The way she looked her voice. I don't know why I couldn't get her out of my head.

We got home and Taylor ran inside the house, I followed after her,
yawning. "Mommy can we play dress up?" she asked me eagerly.
"Right now?" I asked, "I guess so. But then it's off to bed, it's late,"
I told her as she ran to her room. I followed, chewing on my lip. I
couldn't even imagine how Sam would react to this.

[lauren.]

Sam;
The reception was finally over and I had my share of drinks but I wasn't all that drunk. I had asked the bride where Hannah had lived, & she was hesitant to give it to me but did anyways. I got into my car and headed to Hannah's house.

I sat in Taylor's room as she gave me clothes to wear. "You're going
to be the fairy queen," she told me as she handed me some wings,
a tutu, and a tiara. "And you can be the fairy princess," I smiled as
I put her clothes on her. "Oh we are just fabulous!" she exclaimed as
she jumped on her bed.
