Info. Going off to college to become an athlete in soccer. Though just for this summer... I want to enjoy myself before
the hard work actually comes. I like to have fun and enjoy

Info. I'm afraid to start college, of not fitting in, not knowing
what to do with my life. I'm here to get my mind off of the
future and live in the present for the summer. I like to meet
new people but I can come off shy at first.

Information: going to college for a degree in fine arts; a
perennial child; relieves tension through comic relief; a
puppy, basically; a total sweetheart.

Name: Nicholette O'Connor (Nicki)
Age: eighteen
Appearance:

Information: pursuing a life of fashion design and the lights
of the big city; a people-person and a shameless flirt; has to learn
that she is nearing full adulthood and that she needs to grow up.

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
I was waiting for everyone to show up at my family's beach house. This summer would be the best and nothing was going to stop us from having a fantastic time this summer. I leaned back in the chair I was sitting in on the porch. It was a nice day, not too hot not too cold. Perfect actually.

Aurora.
The taxi pulled up to Jeffersons beach house. I was more than ready to get out of this car, the taxi driver is beyond creepy and keeps hitting on me. Makes me shiver every time he talks or looks at me. "Let me help you darling,"he said all creepy like. I shook my head,"No, that's alright. Just pop the trunk and I'll get my things,"I said quickly getting out and retrieving my things from the trunk.

Seggs
The ceiling was perfect. Pristine. The most gorgeous shade of eggshell I'd ever seen in my whole entire life. I had ridden down to the beach house with Jefferson the day before, and since, I hadn't done much more than stare at the ceiling and the crystal-blue water outside. This was why my parents refused to take me to the beach as a child, I thought. I never wanted to leave because the colors were so vivid, and the textures so distinguishable among the smooth, solid concrete of residential life.

Gen
Nicki was in the passenger seat, loudly complaining about my choice of music. "Blah blah blah blah, Gen," she whined. Or, at least, that was all I heard. I sighed through my nose and glanced out of the window to my side. We were nearly to Jefferson's family's summer cottage, and the buildings that we passed by were becoming increasingly wooden and colorful. Sand littered the highway and then all of a sudden, there was a beach to our right. It was pretty enough, I suppose, but not exactly the ideal of scenes for college prep.

Nicki
"I'm really nervous, Gen. Like, really nervous. I know we're friends again but I'm still nervous." Gen didn't respond. She was staring out of the window, glaring at everything, as usual. I groaned loudly. "Gen, honestly, are you even listening?" Of course, she wasn't. I had been complaining, though, and I'd gotten used to Gen tuning out when complaining was commencing. She had a right, I thought. I sighed heavily and looked out my window as a few trees cleared out and the beach became visible. Giving a low whistle, I turned back to Gen and smiled in apology. I knew I irritated her. "Some beach, huh?" Gen smiled back and nodded in response.

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
I saw Aurora get out of the taxi and went to help her. "Hey, glad you could make it,"I said as I grabbed some of her bags. "Dang how many do you need?"I said shaking my head. Women like to bring so many damn bags. I began trudging up the walkway to the house.

Aurora.
I rolled my eyes as I grabbed the last of my things and quickly paid the driver before following behind Jefferson. "I am never taking a taxi again. The guy hit on me the whole freaking time. Disgusting,"I said shivering as I stepped inside my eyes going wide. Holy crap this is really nice.

Seggs
I heard a new voice in the house, and the front door loudly closed. Letting myself fall from the bed to the floor, I crawled on all fours through the doorway and out to the hallway. "WHO IS HERE?" I yelled, too lazy to continue crawling. My arms gave way and I lay on the floor, staring helplessly into the living room. "WHO IS ITTTT?"

Gen
"Why are you nervous?" I asked Nicki, taking a turn to the town's main road. It largely consisted of tourist-y shops and sandwich shops, all with colorful wood signs designed with stilted letters and emblems.

Nicki
I looked at Gen until I was assured that she would actually listen this time. "Jeff. I just. I dunno. I'm nervous about being here because we just started being friends again and this is close proximity and I'm just nervous." Gen fumbled around in the armrest as I spoke, procuring a half-empty pack of cigarettes and pulling one out, sticking it between her chapped lips. I tossed her my lighter and she winked at me in thanks. She only spoke after lighting the stick and tossing the lighter into a cup holder. "You're gonna be fine, Nick. Just chill out."

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
I heard Segg yelling and rolled my eyes,"Then you should have road with Gen,"I said as I as I set Aurora's stuff down. "You can do the rest now,"I said smirking as I headed back onto the porch. I was nervous.. Nick was going to be here and I was afraid it was going to be awkward. I was being nice when I invited her. Might as well get use to being around her once again because we were going to the same college.

Aurora.
"Aren't you just peachy,"I said as I hulled what I had to a room. "STOP YELLING. IT's AURORA!"I yelled back as I pulled my luggage to find the perfect room. I groaned as I realized I'd have to take them up the stairs.

Gen
"What's the address again?" I ashed my cigarette out of the window and stuck it immediately back between my lips.

Nicki
"885," I said, looking down at the Google maps printout Gen had handed me before we'd left home. "It's just up here." She pulled the car into a pebble-covered driveway. The beach was just beyond the cottage and the water was gorgeous. A perfect aquamarine. Gen and I got out of the car and closed our doors, in sync. Our bags were in the trunk; Gen went to get them. I might have helped, but I was still nervous, so I stood to the side, chewing on the inside of my cheek.

Seggs
"Oh. Hey, man. What's up?" I said as Aurora crossed over me. I grinned up at her and rolled over onto my back. The floor was very cold and my tshirt was very warm; the contrast caused me to shiver.

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
I saw Gen and Nick pull up and smiled,"Everyone's here now,"I murmured to myself. I headed down to their car,"Hey, how are you all? Did you have a safe trip?"I asked as I helped Gen pull the luggage out. Girls and their suitcases. I was completely nervous but I didn't let it show. I didn't want to how Nick that she effected me, then I would be considered weak. "Everyone is here. Aurora's finding a room and Segg is rolling around on the floor,"I said smirking.

Aurora.
I looked at him, giving him a dirty look,"Are you high or something? What the hell are you doing on the ground?"I asked as I released my things crossing my arms as I looked down at him. It was kind of nice standing at this angle. Made me seem like I was in control of the situation.

Seggs
I laughed up at her. Aurora was weird, but in a good kind of way. The thought made me laugh even more. "Sorry, doll. The floor's nice."

Gen
"Jeff," I said, by way of greeting. I tried to shuffle some of our bags around in my arms, but a few we're in danger of falling off.

Nicki
"I'll--uh--I'll get some," I said, fretting around Gen. She loudly shooed me off.

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
I grabbed what was falling off of Gen's arms,"Seriously. Take some help,"I said shaking my head. I hulled what I could inside. I stumbled over Aurora's bags still in the doorway,"Aurora,"I mumbled as I gained m balance.

Aurora.
I rolled my eyes,"Whatever. Get up and be a gentleman to help me with my bags,"I said nudging him with my foot.

Seggs
"Fine, fine," I mumbled, hopping up and moving into the living room. As I passed by Jeff, I noticed all the bags he was carrying. "Gen and Nick?" I assumed as I picked up most of Aurora's shit.

Gen
I looked at Nicki after Jeff went inside. "Nervous. I can see it now."

Nicki
I huffed out an irritated breath. "Shut up and give me some of this shit to take inside."

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
I smirked and nodded,"Yeah,"I said shaking my head. "Aurora making you carry hers?"I said laughing. I carried their bags up the stairs past Aurora,"Why don't you have a freakin elevator,"she said as I passed. I laughed,"Exercise is good,"I said as I placed their things at the top of the stairs then went back downstairs for the rest.

Aurora.
I grumbled and finally huffed my way up to the top. I left my things at the top not wanting to deal with them right now. I walked down the hallway, looking in rooms. I smiled as I found the perfect one. Ocean view, balcony, big bed. Oh yeah, definitely perfect.

Seggs
"Oi!" I cried indignantly, dropping aurora's bags on the floor. "This was gonna be my room."

Nicki
Gen and I made it inside, our arms heavily laden with our things. "Hey!" I called out. "Where's a double?"

Gen
"What makes you think I wanna room with you?" I drawled, my cigarette still hanging from my lips as I dragged my duffle bag behind me.

[lauren.]

Jefferson.
"Um there isn't a double. They're all single,"I said as I took the rest of their things upstairs. Yeah, it definitely felt weird with Nick here but it would be okay...hopefully.

Aurora.
I raised an eyebrow,"I don't see your bags in here and mine seem to have fit nicely in this room already,"I said crossing my arms as I narrowed my eyes at him.
