Lydia.
I reached for a flower that was around me and began to pull the petals off,"I'm twenty and I've been doing this since I was fifteen,"I then looked at him. "What about you? I've never seen you on the streets and I would know if you were or not,"I said raising an eyebrow.

[haileyjordan]

Landon,
"I'm twenty three," I said, clearing my throat. "I'm just visiting for a couple weeks, I live down in Westminster." I lied. I was actually surprised that I could come up with this stuff so quickly. "Why did you start this so early?"

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I pursed my lips as I looked at him,"I had no choice. My parents could help keep me alive so I have to go out on my own & fight for myself,"I said biting my lips.

[haileyjordan]

Landon,
I frowned, "I'm sorry," I said. I couldn't even imagine what that would be like. I never even had the option. "Well you're doing one hell of a job." I added.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I felt like he was hiding something by how shocked he was when I started,"What about you? When were you on your own?"I asked raising an eyebrow.

Landon,
I watched her expression, making sure I was careful with my words. "Well I left when I was eighteen. I guess I never really had a reason to leave any earlier than that." I shrugged.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
"You didn't see any reason to leave earlier? Did you have it good or something, well for bein poor,"I said as I grabbed a rock and tossed it from palm to palm.

[haileyjordan]

Landon,
"Not really. We were able to make it buy. I was able to get a job, so that helped out some as well. I don't have any siblings either." I said, watching her toss the rock. She was definitely testing me.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I nodded my head slightly,"Must have been pretty good and known around the town to get a job. Am I right?"I asked raising an eyebrow. To get a job...it's so hard aroun here. You try your best & then they fire you because they can't pay all the workers.

Landon,
I shrugged, "Not really known, but hard worker yes. If it pays the bills I'll give all my effort." I said. This was pretty sad, because I've never had to work a day in my life. Just once I would like to know what it felt like.

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I narrowed my eyes slightly,"It doesn't work that easily, Leo,"I said sitting forward with my arms against my legs. "I feel like you're hiding something from me,"I said bluntly as I stared at him straight in the eyes.

Landon,
I stared at her, shrugging, "What's there to hide?" I asked. I was good at lying-I did it a lot around my parents. "And it worked that way for me Lydia. I don't know why the hell you're so stiff about anyone doing anything good with their lives."

[lauren.]

Lydia.
I just sat there staring at him. Right. Whatever. I pushed myself up off the ground and began walking away. If he didn't like me the way I was then I wasn't going to show him anymore light about me. I winced as I felt the pain in my knee from yesterday.

Landon,
I sighed; she was extremely sensitive. I got up and followed after, "Lydia wait. I'm sorry." I said, feeling defeated with her. "I just can't understand how you live. I never meant to offend you or anything."

Lydia.
I shook my head,"No. I'm to stiff to understand anyone or their problems,"I said moving along. I ran a hand through my hair an breathed in deeply.
