You cannot save people, you can only love them

Aspen,
I knew he meant what he said, "I love you too, Peter." I said, returning his gaze. "I know we're strong, and I know we always push through this, but we can also try and stop this also." I took his hands, kissing his knuckles.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I ran a hand through my hair as I leaned back,"I know, I know,"I mumbled as I closed my eyes.

[haileyjordan]

Aspen,
I knew that he wanted the subject dropped, so I respected that for now. "I'll let you rest," I said, kissing his forehead before I got off of him, leaving the room. I still had a sense of uneasiness though.

(I want them to get into a fight where there's blood drawn lol)

[lauren.]

Peter.
I grabbed a pillow and covere my face with it. What the crap? I felt like we still didn't get anything resolved.
(Okayyyyyy, like how??)

Aspen,
I plopped down onto the couch, letting out a groan. Why was everything so complicated? I didn't know anyone else who had as many problems as we did.

(Well they could get into another fight about his drinking an maybe he could throw the bottle at her and it hits her arm and slices it or something? She could end up punching him to give him a black eye lol!)

[lauren.]

Peter.
I ended up falling asleep a little later after Aspen had left.
(I kind of like both ideas! Haha)

(Lol okay I'll do that then! She could come home from something and he could be drunk)
Aspen,
I was coming home from a long day at work, so I was just in the mood to sleep. I got out of the car, walking into the house. I let out a sigh, setting my things down. I just wanted a nice shower and my bed.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I had made it home before Aspen today and have already hit the bottle. I was sitting outside in the backyard, staring up at the sky. I put the bottle to my lips again and laid down on my back, yawning.

Aspen,
Peter was no where to be found, but his car was in the driveway. "Great," I mumbled. I had a feeling I knew what he was doing. I roamed around the house before my eye caught him laying outside- a beer in hand. I narrowed my eyes before walking outside, my hands crossed. "Starting early today, are we?" I asked.

[lauren.]

Peter.
My buzz was instantly killed once she spoke those words,"You know, I was in a perfectly good mood till you said that,"I said still staring up at the sky, sipping more. Everything honestly would have been fine if she didn't start this crap. All would be well. I could drink and she could go smoke her nasty cigarettes.

[haileyjordan]

Aspen,
I rolled my eyes, "Of course you were in a good mood, it's the only thing that puts you in a good mood. What's this one? Your fourth? Fifth?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. "I'm impressed Peter, I really am," my voice oozing with sarcasm.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I gripped the bottle right in my hands,"Seriously, Aspen? I'm not in the mood at the moment and you're only making it worse,"I growled as I sat up rubbing my hands against my face.

[haileyjordan]

Aspen,
"Yes, because I just love coming home to this every day. I try not to care, I use to just ignore it, but when it becomes a constant thing it just irritates me. You're not the only one living in this house. I have to be here when you're drunk and acting like an idiot." I stared at him, trying to keep calm, though I wanted to just blow up.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I got up stalking towards her,"Fine! Want me to say it? I will. I'm a fucking screw up, Aspen! Does that make you feel better? If you hate coming home to this every day, then why even bother?"I growled, keeping my fists clenched because if I didn't I wouldn't know who I was anymore. I took a good amount of steps away from her.

Aspen,
I shook my head, "I really do question why I come back, but this house is just as much mine as it is yours, so I don't think I'm the one who has to leave." I growled. "If you would just stop, then we wouldn't have a problem." I watched him carefully, seeing him go into defensive mode.
