Peter.
I stared at Aspen without moving. Why the hell would she do this? This just means I have to go home to a silent house with two damn people in it. I pushed myself off the cot and nodded at the officer before I followed Aspen out of the police department. "I'll walk,"I muttered as I started down the sidewalk. I honestly didn't want to ride in the car with her either.

"You're not walking home Peter." I told him. He should walk home, for all he's done I should've just left him in there. "Just get in the car." He was going to be stubborn and if he wanted to be, I wouldn't care. I closed my eyes, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"I said I'd walk,"I said shaking my head. I stopped and turned to look at her,"Why did you get me out? It would be so much better if I was stuck in there so I couldn't hurt you anymore,"I said feeling defeated. I know I need to stop, but going through that process might be worse than being a drunk.

"Because they would've hurt you more than you deserved. You need help, but jail isn't the right place to get help." I told him. "Please just get in the car Peter." We were both extremely uptight. Too much had happened in the course of about three hours. I was exhausted and sore.

I gripped at my hair wanting to stomp like a child but I refrained myself. "Why must you be so stubborn and persistent,"I grumbled as I walked heavily to the car, getting inside and slamming the door behind me. I pulled my good over my head as I crossed my arms, anger literally radiating off of me.

I watched him pull his little temper tantrum, rolling my eyes. "Oh my god are we five?" I asked myself before getting in the car as well. The drive home was completely silent-silence was what I needed. I signed quietly once I pulled into the driveway. I turned off the car and just sat back in the seat, staring ahead of me.

My heart had finally stopped racing once we pulled into the driveway. I sat in the passenger seat completely exhausted and wishing it was just back to the way it use to be. I turned my head to look at Aspen, seeing how..fed up and tired she was with all of this.

I saw Peter look at me out of the corner of his eye, but didn't say anything. "Why do you have to do this?" I asked quietly, looking down at my hands. I just didn't understand why, and I wasn't sure I ever would.

Aspen,
I watched him get out of the car. I could tell he knew that he screwed up, and nothing he could try would make up for it. I slumped down in the seat, a feeling of pain and sickness suddenly coming over me. This was probably the worst it has been in a while.

I headed inside, straight for the fridge but stopped with my hand on the handle. "Damn it, Aspen,"I muttered as I pushed away. I went into the living room, waiting for Aspen to come in. I just wanted to hold her in my arms, even if she pushed away

Aspen,
I finally got ahold of myself as I headed inside. I hugged myself as I stepped inside the house, my hand brushing my cut, causing me to flinch. I bit my lip, feeling the tears coming back on. This wasn't how I wanted to live-in constant fear and anger.

I had watched as Aspen stepped in and flinched. I hung my head then walked over to her, but I didn't pull her into my arms yet. I knew she would flinch or something. I wanted her approval first,"I'm sorry,"I said.

I looked up at him, "I don't think you mean it," I replied quietly. He always said he was sorry-I heard the same thing all the time. "You say that, and you never really are sorry." I swallowed, looking away slightly.
