You cannot save people, you can only love them

Aspen,
"I want to see it Peter," I said. I chewed on my cheek, "I love you too, but when you do stuff like this..." I trailed off. I felt a stray tear roll down my cheek. "You've never drawn blood before, and you did." I added, in an almost whimpering voice before more tears fell down.

[lauren.]

Peter.
My heart broke seeing those tears fall down her cheeks. I couldn't help it anymore,"Please don't cry,"I said fear etched into my voice. It really scares me when she cries. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her to my body.

Aspen,
Once he held me I finally broke down into tears. "It's just so hard," I said through my sobs. "I don't know how much more I can take." It was true; once more incident like this I would leave. It wasn't worth my pain.

[lauren.]

Peter.
"I know,"I said kissing her head. "I'm sorry. And I can't help but say it,"I said lifting her face so I could see her,"I don't know what else to say but that,"I said wiping her tears away

Aspen,
I looked up at him into his eyes. "Do you mean it? Really mean it this time?" I asked through sniffles. I knew he cared, I knew he loved me, I just wanted him to tell me more than when he was trying to save his ass.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I breathed in deeply,"I can promise that I'll try. But Aspen,"I said taking her face in my hands,"It's not going to be easy. It's going to be hard,"I whispered quietly.

[haileyjordan]

Aspen,
I looked at him when he took my face, knowing it was true. "I know, but we'll never get anywhere if we don't try. I don't want to see you in jail ever again." I said softly. "You aren't meant to be there, no matter what."

[lauren.]

Peter.
"I deserve to be in there,"I said feeling her tremble under my hands. "I shouldn't hurt you. It was wrong of me,"I said kissing her forehead as I held her close to me now.

[haileyjordan]

Aspen,
"You don't deserve it Peter," I whispered, trailing my finger down his chest. He was right by saying he shouldn't hurt me, but I sort of did my share of the yelling. "We both need to really try. I mean it."

[lauren.]

Peter.
"I'll try my hardest, but it's going to get worse before it gets better,"I said chewing on the inside of my cheek. Hell, I was neevous. This was going to be one bumpy ride, to the extreme.

[haileyjordan]

Aspen,
I sighed, "I know," I said quietly. I looked up at him, "but we have to promise each other that no matter how hard it gets we will push through it. We won't leave each other, we won't give up, okay?" I needed him to promise me this.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I closed my eyes and then looked at her, long and hard,"I promise,"I said as I took her hands, kissing them. "I promise,"I murmured quietly against her hands.

Aspen,
I knew he meant it when he said it. I took his face in my hands, gently pressing my lips against his. "Everything will be okay," I whispered. Everything had to be okay, it just had to.

[lauren.]

Peter.
I wanted to believe that everything would be okay but I didn't know if it would be. Though for right now, I would make it. I pulled her close as I kissed her back. I would definitely try my hardest, for Aspen.

Aspen,
I just wanted to love him right now. Forget all the fighting, I just wanted to be in his arms, laying in bed, knowing I was safe. I missed his gentle touch. My arms snaked around his neck as I deepened the kiss, never wanting the moment to end.
