Do fairy tales always come with happy endings?

I raised an eyebrow even shocked that I got understudy,"Are you serious?"I asked looking at the paper. Wow, there's my name. "This is better than what I thought would happen,"I said shaking my head. I had heard the disappointment in his voice when he spoke, which made me kind of estastic inside. He wanted me to be Cinderella.

I noticed the excitement on her face, which was weird for me. I never saw anyone get excited over being an understudy. I smiled softly, "Well congratulations anyways. Plus you never know what may happen," I smiled. I know it was horrible to wish the lead couldn't perform, but that's what I wanted.

I raised an eyebrow, smiling slightly. "So when does the first rehearsal start?"I asked biting my lip. Did he really want me to be lead? And did he just pretty much tell me that he hopes the lead gets sick? This makes me feel actually kind of special.
