Giovanni,
I froze at what she said. No she wasn't even thinking about suicide. She couldn't. But yet I knew she could. I immediately grabbed my keys and left the hotel. "Valarie listen to me. Don't you dare move. Where are you?" I asked her, trying to keep my voice calm.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
I breathed in,"Nowhere important,"I said as I walked towards the bridge. It was huge and there were areas people could walk for exercise or touring. "Have you ever seen the lights reflect the water? It's quite enchanting,"I said into the phone and was honked at by a car as it flew past me.

Giovanni,
Judging by what she said and the car horn I knew she was at the bridge. Oh god. She was going to jump. My chest tightened as I sped down the road. "Valarie please don't move. Please don't do this. I love you. You can't do this to yourself." I said, praying I would get there in time.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
"Goodbye Giovanni,"I said simply as I hung my phone up and dropped it. There weren't very many people walking around due that it was eleven o'clock in the evening. I swallowed as I looked over the edge of the bridge at the water and the lights shining brightly against it. This was it. There were so many things that have gone downhill and I wasn't ready to deal with them. This would make it all better. This would make it all stop.

Giovanni,
"Valarie!" I yelled as she hung up. "Fuck!" I broke many laws as I sped down the road. I soon saw her on the bridge, feeling as though I was going to puke. I illegally parked on the bridge and shot out of my car, running over to her as I grabbed her from the ledge, pulling her close to me.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
I gasped as I was yanked from the edge and brought into familiar arms that I yearned for yet hated. I caught my breathe and pushed against him,"Let me go,"I slurred,"I want it all to stop,"I mumbled.

Giovanni,
I held her tight enough to where she couldn't budge. I kissed the top of her head, my heart pounding. "There are other ways Valarie. Please, don't ever do that again." I said softly as I rubbed her back. She was going to stay with me whether she liked it or not. I couldn't trust her being on her own right now. "If you were gone...I don't even know what I'd do."

[lauren.]

Valarie,
I scoffed slightly and hiccuped,"I've been gone for months,"I muttered. I wanted him to stop holding me, but I finally took comfort. I felt my emotions hit me hard, just like when I broke down in his bedroom. "You're not being fair,"I sobbed.

[haileyjordan]

Giovanni,
"Then you have to learn to cooperate with me Valarie. Please, I'm trying to help you." I said as I led her back to my car. "You need to rest." I opened my car door and helped her inside, even though she fought back.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
"No, no, no,"I repeated over and over again as he put me into his car. I didn't want his sympathy or charity. I just wish I never had of gone to Italy and met him. This all would have never happened. I sat back in the seat, knowing I should cooperate for now. But that doesn't mean when I'm better I won't lash out on him.

Giovanni,
I got her in and got in myself as I drove off. She continued to mumble "no" and it upset me. I gripped the steering wheel as I looked ahead. "Goddammit Valarie!" I yelled. "Why do you just push people away?" I asked angrily.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
I was instantly quiet as he yelled at me. I looked over at him staying quiet then looked back out at the road ahead of us. "You have no right to tell at me,"I said quietly. He doesn't. No one does but maybe myself.

Giovanni,
I sighed as I instantly regretted lashing out on her. "I'm sorry. I don't." I said, lowering my voice. "You just really scared me, Valarie. Please don't let an asshole like me cause you to make permanent decisions." I glanced at the mirror to look at her.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
"It all wasn't just you,"I murmured as I leaned my head back. "I could have gotten myself together once I got back to America... I just couldn't motivate myself,"I said quietly.

Giovanni,
"It's never a bad time to start," I murmured. This was all pretty much my fault. I had led her to this point. I sighed and shook my head, "But what do I know? I don't even know how to live for myself. At least you're capable of that."
