I looked up at him, searching his eyes for the truth. "But it looked like it just happened when I saw them." I said quietly. "Was she being bad?" This whole thing confused me.

I shook my head,"No, she was not bad. The guy just has some..anger problems and doesn't care if he hurts anyone,"I said picking some grass out of the ground also.

"Why were you yelling outside then, daddy? You scared me a lot," I said softly as I looked up at him. I felt a little more at ease, but I still wasn't complain trusting it.

I breathed in as I sat back slightly,"I was talking to a lawyer who is trying to help get this man in jail but they haven't yet,"I said as I looked at Tessa, seeing her relax slightly.

Tessa,
I headed inside with Daddy as I saw Alaska looking at the two of us. "Can I talk to you?" I asked her. "Of course," she said as we all went over to the couch. "So daddy didn't do this to you?" I asked.
Alaska,
I shook my head, "He would never do anything to hurt me sweetheart," I said softly. "Someone else hurt you?" she asked. I sighed, "I'm afraid so, but he won't be hurting me anymore." I glanced over at Kolton, relieved that Tessa wasn't mad at him.

I gave a small smile back to Alaska. We hope he won't hurt her anymore, I thought to myself. I ran a hand through my hair,"Everything will work out,"I said giving a smile but it didn't reach my eyes.

I noticed the look in Kolton's eyes, making me nervous. But I ignored it and smiled back at Tessa. "Your dad is right," I said as I pat her head. "Nothing to worry about sweetie." What if this didn't stop? What if he found me and hurt me again?

I nodded, "Yes please," I said. "Can I watch?" Tessa asked. I smiled slightly, "I'm afraid not. It's not something enjoyable to do." I told her softly as I stood up. "We'll be right back sweetheart." I headed down the hall with Kolton, letting out a sigh.
