Cal I nodded at Kimberly. I felt a lot better now. A lot less panicked and anxious, anyway. Sure I was kind of worried about the zombies in general but I was pretty sure everyone was so no big deal.
Jez "Maybe we should find a house that's ... off the beaten track, or something," I said, looking out of the window. "Like your house was," I said, nodding at Kimberly.

Kimberly I nodded and turned to James. "Let's both try to keep an eye out for country houses, even though it's so dark. It shouldn't be too hard, since we're already out of the city limits." He just gave a noncommittal grunt and scowled, looking out the windshield. "Couldn't we have found some Goddamn coffee in that pharmacy?" I made a sound of complete indignance and swatted his arm. The truck swerved a bit. "Don't say that! GD! No!" He looked at me, utterly disbelieving, and shook his head. "Cal's not the only one who's a bit cooky, eh?" I ignored him and stared out the window. Whatever. Stupid James.

Cal I frowned slightly. I mean, I know I'm weird and all when it comes to me not taking my medicine and stuff but I'm not that weird. Not really. Well, kind of. Maybe a little bit. Okay, so, I am weird. But still.
Jez I watched out of the windows for any houses as we went down the dark roads. "There's a place," I said, pointing off down a road. There was a house, barely noticeable but still there, hidden behind a bunch of trees. It'd do for now.

Kimberly "There's tree cover, too. And it's not too big. C'mon, James, turn in here," I said, gesturing to a dirt road. "Oh, this house looks perfect actually. We might be able to stay for a few days."
James I rolled my eyes at them and turned off on the dirt driveway. The trail wound down through a mile or two of trees, trees, and more trees until finally we stopped in front of the small, square building. "It does look good," I acquiesced reluctantly.

Jez I looked out of the window, assessing the little house. "It's perfect, really," I said, getting out of the jeep. "We should be safe here for a bit, anyway." I glanced behind me at all the supplies in the jeep. "Should we take everything out in case it gets trashed or leave some in in case we need to go quickly?" I said, folding my arms.
Cal "We could take it all out and put it by the doorway in even piles and then we could all have a pile that we have to take care of if we need to go," I suggested, shrugging as I got out of the jeep.

Kimberly "Or maybe we should leave most of it in the Jeep and make sure it's well-hidden," I suggested softly, looking away.
James I rolled my eyes at the three of them. "Why don't we just torch the entire fucking pile and be done with it?"

Jez "Well, you guys figure out what to do with it, and I'll check this place out," I said, pulling my gun out from my pocket. The place looked safe enough, but you can never be too sure at times like this. I walked up to the house and tried the door. It was locked, which was probably a good sign zombies hadn't got in it. I gave the door a good kick and it gave way though. The interior was dark and gloomy, and I gingerly searched the wall for a light switch. I found one and flipped it on. There was a little hallway with three different doors leading off into different rooms and some stairs. Further inspection showed a small kitchen, a dining room and a living room downstairs, and and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. All the electricity and water seemed to work, so really it was a stroke of luck we found the place.
Cal I looked between Kim, James and the jeep. "Shall we just leave most of it outside and just take in what we need for now? It's easier. We can sort something else out in the morning," I shrugged.

Yeah cause electricity would totes be working in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. xDDD _______________
Kimberly "Yeah, Cal, that sounds best," I said, sighing and watching after Jez as she entered the house. Hopefully nothing would be in there that could help her. "James, you should go in with her, you know, just to make sure nothing gets her," I suggested, worried for some reason. "Calloway and I can get the supplies and hide the Jeep, just take all the blankets and set up a bit of a camp in the living room.
James I rolled my eyes and got out of the Jeep as Kimberly crawled over to the driver's side. "Aye, aye, mon capitan." I grabbed the entirety of the blankets from the back and hauled them into the main room, which I noticed immediately had electricity, although it was flickering. I dropped the blankets onto the floor and softly called out, "Jeeeeez?"

Psh, it does because I said soooo xD They'll have power cuts and stuff cause it won't be the best electricity in the world xD _________
Cal "Okay, so we need food, water, medical stuff and possibly candles," I said, counting off on my fingers. "So let's just take a box of food and water, one of the first aid kits and candles if we can find any," I said, moving some stuff around to look. We'd had to leave Kim's house kind of quickly so all the stuff was just thrown in the jeep wherever it would fit, so finding stuff was hard.
Jez I heard someone come into the house, probably James by the sound of the heavy footfalls. This was confirmed when I heard him call my name a few seconds later. I was still upstairs, so leaned my head over the banister. "What?"

Kimberly I nodded, sighing and shifting some things around to organize them, and to make for more room. "Yeah, that sounds good," I said, shifting over a pack of water and a box of MRE's. "Can you take those? I'll bring some first aid kits and the other bedding stuff."
James I beamed up at her. "Just making sure you're still kicking, princess. Keep on your guard, though, I though I heard something up there a minute ago."

Jez I rolled my eyes. "Well, that would be me. Walking. Up here. Making noises," I said, shaking my head. "There's nothing up here. I've checked. And if there was, I'm pretty sure it would have come out by now."
Cal I nodded and took both the boxes, nudging the slightly open front door of the house with my foot so I could get in. I put the boxes in the living room, since I was really sure where we were organising stuff yet.

Kimberly I got a dark brown thermal tarp from the back of the Jeep and tossed it over the hood and the ceiling, making sure it was well hidden from fellow coherants and zombies alike. I locked everything up, shoved the keys into my pocket, and picked up the first aid kits and additional blankets.
James I sighed and shook my head, gesturing at Cal to check out the first floor of the house. "Just be careful, Jez. You know your precautions."

Jez "I've checked everywhere. It's not exactly a big place. There's nothing here, I promise," I said, coming down the stairs. "You'd think I of all people would know how to check properly."
Cal I went into the little kitchen area and looked around a little bit. The light in the room was flickering pretty badly but from what I could see there was nothing there and the only things that had ever been there were humans. Same with the diningroom. I did find more candles and some candle holders though.

James I rolled my eyes at her. She was so damn stubborn. "I was just saying, Jez. Chill the fuck out."
Kimberly I unloaded everything by the already-existing pile in the living room, looking around. I saw Cal through a doorway in what looked like the dining room, and James was just around the corner, staring up and talking to Jezebel. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Is it clear?" I asked to nobody in particular.

Jez I shook my head, hopping down the last few steps. "It's safe, anyway. If we don't draw too much attention to this place we should be okay for a while."
Cal "I think we should turn the lights off and just use candles for now," I said, exiting the dining room with the candle holders and candles in my hands. "Draws less attention that way, I guess."
