Casey,
I had managed to fight the two vampires off and save the couple that I visioned in time. It was a close call, as always, but I never really worried about well, dying. I was in another hotel room, doing my research on another murder case. As soon as one ended another one started. It was a never ending cycle for me. But the whole time I couldn't get Alexandria out of my mind. It was weird.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I paced my apartment as I stared at the phone. I wanted to call Casey, a lot. I didn't want to seem too eager though. I breathed in deeply,"What the hell,"I muttered as I picked the phone up and dialed the number Casey had given me.

Casey,
My cell phone went off as I looked over at it. I didn't recognize the number, but that never stopped me from answering it before. I grabbed it, "Hello?" I asked, leaning back in the chair.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I felt relief wash through me as he answered the phone,"Well I guess since hearing your voice that you're alive,"I said smiling slightly as I took a seat on my couch. "Oh, it's Alex,"I said biting my lip.

Casey,
I instantly relaxed when I heard her voice. I smirked at her remark, "Just barely alive, but alive. It's good to hear from you again Alex." I said. I was secretly hoping that she would call, though I'd never admit it.

[lauren.]

Alex.
"Well I had to make sure you were okay,"I said smiling slightly. I bit my lip as I paced slowly in the kitchen,"How are you?"I asked running a hand through my hair. It was good to hear his voice. This is so weird, having immediate feelings for someone you've just met.

Casey,
"I'm doing alright," I said with a soft smile, "what about you? After I leave so quickly. Again, I'm really sorry about that. I wish I could explain." I sighed. I wanted to tell her...but it was too soon, and I was scared.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I took a seat at the table and shrugged slightly to myself,"Well, you could easily explain to me.."I said smirking slightly. I glanced around and sighed,"Want to meet up or something?"I asked.

Casey,
I chuckled, "Oh believe me I'd love to, but I'm not exactly in the same state as you. But if you still want to I'd be more than willing to drive down and meet you tomorrow." I chewed on the inside of my cheek, "I normally don't do this Alex. I just feel...drawn to you."

[lauren.]

Alex.
My heart dropped a little,"You're already in a different state?"I asked quietly. How did he managed to do that so quickly.

Casey,
"I have to travel fast," I said, running my hand through my hair. This would all be so much easier if she knew, but if she knew she would leave. I knew already. "But being in another state doesn't really stop me from coming back you know."

[lauren.]

Alex.
I smiled and bit my lip,"Okay, tomorrow you can be here?"I asked as I stood up walking over to the window, looking out at the stars in the sky

Casey,
I nodded, though I knew she couldn't see my notion. "Of course," I said softly. "Alex, I know this may seem out of context, but if you ever feel unsafe or you feel something weird is going on...let me know, okay?"

[lauren.]

Alex.
I frowned slightly at his words,"Okay. I will,"I said as I felt comforted by those words that he was here to protect me. I breathe in as I leaned against the wall,"Goodnight Casey,"I said smiling.

Casey,
"Goodnight Alexandria, I'll see you tomorrow." I hung up, sucking in a breath. Would this possibly work? I didn't want to get my hopes up though, because that's what I always did, and every time I was pushed away.
