Alex.
I breathed in deeply and shut my phone. I stared out the window for a little bit longer before shutting the curtain. "Contain yourself and be calm,"I told myself as I went to my room and fell asleep.

Casey,
I had finally pulled up to Alexandria's apartment, actually a bit nervous. I looked over at her door, sitting in my car for a moment before I got out, walking up to her door. I knocked on it, shoving my hands in my pockets as I waited.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I was still running around frantically trying to get the apartment halfway decent when I heard a knock at the door. "Shit,"I mumbled wuietly. I breathed in deeply running a hand through my crazy hair now. I opened the door, smiling,"Casey,"I said nodding my head at him.

Casey,
My smile spread across my face when I saw her, "Alexandria." I said softly. I instantly pulled her into a hug. I felt like I had missed her- a lot. "It's really good to see you again."

[lauren.]

Alex.
The contact caught me off guard for a moment but I hugged him back,"It's good to see you too,"I said as I stepped back. "Come on in. I haven't really thought of anything to do but there really isn't much to do around here,"I said shrugging as I crossed my arms.

Casey,
I smiled, "No worries. I think we need to get to know each other a bit more. Considering I drove across a few states to get here," I winked at her, stepping inside her apartment.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I shut the door behind us, locking it. "You drove across a few states?"I said looking at the time. "Damn,"I muttered,"You didn't have to do that. Especially if you're dropping work to be here. That's not good,"I said as I walked to the kitchen. "Would you like something to eat or drink?"I asked.

Casey,
"I sort of work on my own time," I said with a shrug, "Water would be great, thanks." I added. "I needed a break anyways." I new that that was probably a bad idea, but hell, I had a life also.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I made both of us a glass of water, taking Casey his. "Need a break from the secret life huh?"I asked as I took a drink of my water and glanced up at him. He was quite tall actually, which I liked very much.

Casey,
I chuckled, "I would suppose you could say that." I said. "So tell me Alex, where were you born? Tell me about yourself," I said, taking a drink of my water before I sat down on the couch.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I wrinkled my nose,"Ugh, the dreaded tell me about yourself question,"I said setting my drink down and taking a seat on the couch as well. I sighed as I thought about what to say,"I was born in Colorado. My parents all in their little bubble of love until I was about thirteen. They divorced when I was fourteen. Yelling and all that sheenanagines,"I sai waving my hand. "I moved here for college, mostly to get away from Colorado. Dropped out of school when I thought I was going to go places with my music. As you can see that failed, and now I'm living in a small apartment working as a barista at a coffee/book shop,"I said shrugging.

Casey,
I smiled softly, "Well you have a start, that's all you need right now." I said, "I would just take it slow if I were you. Get into something you really want to do." I added with a nod. "Life choices can affect you quite a lot." That statement held true to my whole life.

[lauren.]

Alex.
I watched Casey as he spoke to me, seeming like he knew all too well,"Has something happen to you?"I asked rubbing my hands against my jeans slightly.

Casey,
I sighed, "I lost my parents when I was twelve. Both of them. I sort of had to take on my dad's job, just to keep the family tradition going. It's been hard, not having either one of them around." I said, looking at her. It hurt when I talked about them; every day felt like the day they were killed.

Alex.
I frowned as he told me his story,"Im sorry Casey,"I said quietly. "You had to take on this violent job when you were twelve?"I asked biting my lip.
