SKIPPING A MONTH! _____________-
Jordan; Being at the hospital for pretty much a whole month has brought me down. I'm not sleeping much anymore, I'm barely at school, I haven't even talked to Marly... She much hate me so much. I just don't want to talk to anyone. I've been trying to keep Delilah away from my dad but also the hospital. I don't want her to see her mother like this. Well... and also her dad. Dad has gotten more violent, actually hitting me now. I won't let him lay a hand on Delilah. I sighed, just thinking about it all gave me a headache. I was walking through the hallway, trying not to bump into anyone or I'd probably go off. My "friends" pretty much don't talk to me anymore. I rubbed my face as I opened my locker.

Marly I walked to my locker after school got out that day, trying my best to ignore Jordan's presence as was usual lately. It made me really sad, actually, because I had really liked Jordan -- still really liked Jordan -- but he'd recently just kind of....cut himself off from the world. My locker was about five down from his, unfortunately, so I had to practically hide my face inside the alcove while I put my things away.

Jordan; I leaned my head against my locker, closing my eyes. My life was so fucked up. I suddenly left myself pushed into my locker, I cursed as I pushed myself out and saw my so called friends laughing and flipping me off as they walked away. My fists tightened but I didn't yell. I needed to yell though, that's what I needed to do so I could get all this steam out. I slammed my locker hard, rattling all the others as I chunked my bag over my shoulder and headed outside. I needed to go pick Delilah up before my dad got home.

Marly I watched the whole display through the slits in my locker door, turning to watch as Jordan stormed from the school. In a split-second, pretty stupid decision, I closed my locker, hitched my bag up higher on my shoulder, and sprinted after him. Thank you, cross-country. "Jordan!" I called out once I was close enough.

Jordan; I heard my name being called but ignored it. Probably those idiots just trying to fuck with me. I pulled my keys out of my pocket and unlocked my truck, opening the door. I really needed to get to Delilah.

Marly "Jordan!" I breathed out again as I came up to the front bumper of his car. "Going to pick up Delilah?" I asked, still slightly panting.

Jordan; I looked at Marly with sort of a dead expression,"Yes,"I said getting into the seat and shutting my door, not even bothering to hear what she had to say.

Marly I blinked away the confusion at the weirdly blank expression on his face and moved to stand beside his door. "Can I come with you? It's been forever since we've hung out," I said, crossing my arms across my chest insecurely. I wanted to say that I'd missed him, but I held it back.

Jordan; I winced a little,"I don't think that's a good idea,"I said glancing at the clock. "Shit,"I muttered, Dad was already home. If he laid a hand on Delilah I would murder.

Marly "O-okay," I said, stepping away from the car. "Tell her I said hi." I turned around, and stepped onto the sidewalk.

Jordan; I felt like a total douche as I sat there watching her turn away. I started the truck up and quickly sped away from the school. I needed to get away fast or I'd take her to my house and I didn't want her to see the horrible life I had.

Marly I walked slowly to the school as he drove away, but I couldn't resist peeking over my shoulder and watching as he drove away. When he was gone, I sighed and felt my shoulders drastically hunch. But soon, I looked up, wondering what I should do. I didn't want to go home yet; Aunt Josephine was actually going to work again, so she wouldn't be home for another two or three hours. I decided to go to the beach; it might torture me because it would make me think about Jordan, but maybe if I thought enough I might come up with what was wrong with him. I fidgeted with the straps of my bag and began walking the three blocks to the beach.

Jordan; I pulled into the driveway and kept the truck running as I ran into the house to hear dad yelling at Delilah. I growled and ran over quickly picking Delilah up, her tiny arms wrapping around my neck. I glared daggers at our father as I left the house, him yelling at me about how horrible a son I was and that I should go die. I buckled Delilah up in her car seat, kissing her forehead. I buckled myself up and just sat there, not knowing where to go.

Marly The walk to the beach was almost laughably short. I found myself a nice little spot just a foot or so from the tide and watched the water and the sand and the people. It wasn't a busy day at the beach today; it was starting to get cooler, and it seemed that people stopped coming to the beach pretty much as soon as the average weekly temperature dropped below seventy. I dropped my bag to the sand and plopped onto the ground beside it.

Jordan; I sighed and rubbed my face as i heard Delilah's sniffling in the back seat. I glanced back at her and placed her puppy on her lap. I then pulled out of the driveway wishing I could just leave with Delilah, I was almost eighteen. The only thing that came to mind, for some reason, was the beach. Delilah always loved going. I nodded slightly and headed that direction.
