I looked down, knowing she'd still feel that way. "But I'm not who I used to be, and I don't want you to think of that as some cliche saying. I mean it." I said, looking back into her eyes.

Valarie,
I bit my lip as I glanced at him,"You won't send me away again?"I asked hopeful, though I shouldn't be hopeful, because it usually gets crushed.

Giovanni,
"Well considering New York is your hometown, I have no right in doing that," I said with a small smirk. "But in all honestly, I would never, and could never hurt you again."

[lauren.]

Valarie,
"What if it comes down to it again? We thought we could make it work back in Italy,"I said wishing I didn't find every possible excuse there was.

Giovanni,
"Valarie," I said softly. "my parents are no longer in the situation. There's no hesitation. I want to be with you. I want to share my love with you." I looked deeply into her eyes. Why was she hesitating so much? Because I crushed her heart before. She had every right to act how she did.

[lauren.]

Valarie,
I breathed in deeply, feeling the tears fall down my cheek without me even able to stop them. Nothing was standing in the way anymore but my broken heart. I stared at him,"You mean it?"I asked. All I really wanted to do was jump into his arms and have him hold me.

Giovanni,
"I mean everything I tell you," I said softly. "I miss you so much." I admitted as I shook my head.

Valarie,
I looked down as I wiped my tears away,"I miss you too,"I said breathing in deeply.

Giovanni,
"Then let's be together. You and I both know we both want it," I said, gently taking her face in my hands. She needed to get that through her head.

Valarie,
Once he had touched my face I was instantly putty in his hands. I leaned more into his touch as I closed my eyes, embracing it,"Okay,"I whispered then opened my eyes to stare into his.

Giovanni,
Without hesitation I pressed my lips against hers, completely overcome with the kiss. I slid my arms around her body, pulling her close. I wanted her to feel safe.

Valarie,
My body instantly melted against his, fitting perfectly. I gripped his face between my hands as the kiss progressed. I felt...whole? Better? Safe? I was with Giovanni.

Giovanni,
I was relieved. At peace. This was how I wanted it all along. I pulled away a bit later, "I love you so much." I said softly.

Valarie,
I breathed heavily as I caressed his face, kind of in shock and disbelief that this was happening,"And I love you, always have,"I said feeling tears sting my eyes. This was happening and nothing was going to ruin it this time. Nothing.

Giovanni,
I smiled softly at her, "I hope those are happy tears," I said, kissing her once more. "Now will you be willing to let me buy us an apartment?" I asked her.
